Valley Beverage had Alpine Pure Hoppiness earlier in the year. I would guess they carry Duet and Nelson at the same frequency as other better bottle shops in the LA area. I'd ask the owner about Kern River, I would be surprised if they didn't get any. As mentioned, they usually don't make it onto shelves/coolers, so if you just visit without asking, you likely won't see it.

The person who interviewed Eric seems to think that Citra production will increase and that will be distributed as well. I'm skeptical, but keeping my fingers crossed.

Kern beers used to a common item in the coolers back 5 years ago. It's a hit or miss these days. More misses. I remember when Citra was on the shelves at Total Wine. I would grab 4-6 at a time. Go back next week and they still had some more on the shelves. The only bad thing they had them sitting on the shelves, not in the cooler. But that came to a sudden end with the Citra craze. I cant even find Class V anywhere. The last Kern beer I saw was Isabella. And that was in the summer. So I have been driving up to KRBC the last several Citra releases to pick up bottles of JO, Class V, Citra and Citra growlers (when they had them). So hopefully with the expansion we will once again see cans or bottles in the OC/LA area. Maybe even Citra!

It would make sense for them to distribute to SLO, since everyone else from Kern County invades the area on a regular basis. Bringing their tasty beer is the least they could do.
