Over priced bourbon bomb, good but not as delicious as many less expensive BA stouts.

Thirsty Dog website says they've bottles from a new batch for sale at the brewery. Does anyone know if some of this will be going to retail distribution?

I'm more interested in Wulver

I got plenty of BASN, but I could use more Wulver.

I haven't had any BASN, but Wulver was seriously one of my favorite beers I've ever had. Would love to do a vertical with Wulver and Backwoods Bastard.

Got some in West Michigan this week, only got a single, didn't want to spend $28 for four when I've got Sweet Repute, Bourbon County, and BBPt5 to prepare for.

How many years of Wulver were made?

I think he just meant to compare them side by side to be honest. Wulver is much better than backwoods IMO.

This is the first year BASN and Wulver were bottled (May '13). BASN has been on tap for years (same barrels? I have no idea). Wulver has never been made before.

Are they really releasing a second batch of both? Seems odd because they both spend 11 months in the barrel, so it would be closer to an annual release. I guess it doesn't really matter, but I was hoping they would release another barrel aged beer in the works.

central ohio, the hills on olentangy had individual bottles of wulver for sale. i took 2 to leave some for others, may still be in stock, i'd give em a call to see if they can hold em.

Sorry, what I meant was having Backwoods and Wulver side by side and maybe blind tasting.

you are so right I just had a backwoods bastard if you like beautiful oak vanilla flavors it's a joke to compare Backwoods to Wulver I'm glad I still have 2 4s. It's like comparing Old Rasputin to Bourbon County Old Rasputin is awesome but compared to BCBS shiiiiit.......

To echo the sentiment already expressed: while Backwoods Bastard is about half the price, Wulver is a superior beer in every other way. In my admittedly limited experience, Wulver is the best barrel-aged beer I've had.
