I had their Big Eddy Baltic Porter on tap (not knowing it was from them) and I absolutely loved it. I later discovered it was from them and I was shocked. That said, I'd obviously gladly have it on tap again. In bottles, however, I feel it's very overpriced so I haven't bought it. The Oktoberfest was okay but not something I'd get again.

The house of 1000 beers has a few and so did the Giant Eagle in Shaler. I think they are ok but not worth a trip.

Thanks for the tip. If I see one locally, I may try it, but I don't want to make the Shaler/1000 beers drive.

I really like the RIS. It is NOT the most insane thing available for sure, but it is tasty nonetheless. I usually get some when I see it on the shelf.

Some are good (not great), some are pretty bad, price isn't that agreeable. I lived near Chipewea Falls for a little bit, and they staff at the brewery were bonkers for the stuff, they really tried to sell you the idea that you NEVER had anything so boozy, or tasteful, well maybe some people haven't.

I am also a big fan of Scotch Ales, but their's is not quite up to par imo. I recall it being too sweet, a bit over-carbonated and not cutting it in the malt department. That said, I find that Scotch Ales seem to be a difficult style to brew, most are meh....some that I consider good are Skullsplitter, Dirty Bastard, SA, and Old Chub.

I also agree with what many have mentioned regarding price, there are many others that are better than can be had for less $.

Came here to post what strangebrew321 said: the RIS ages well. Had a vertical tasting with the 2011-2013, and there was a decent deviation from each year to the next. Fresh it is good, but put some time on it and great things happen.

Overall the beers are pretty good, and nice to see quality products coming from a brewery that is often overlooked and passed over for other local offerings.

I've only had the Imperial Stout, and it was solid and sorta unique..
