    Thought I would take a page from our brethren from BC and start a thread for the Ottawa/Gatineau area. I also hope I am not duplicating any other threads or creating too much redundancy.

    I stopped in at Biéres du Monde this morning, and they had some great beers on the shelf.
    Trou du Diable La Buteuse (New Release)
    DDC Grande Noirceur (New Release)
    LTM Grande Cuvée Réserve de Noël (New Release)
    DDC Isseki Nicho (still on the shelf but going fast)

    Also stopped in at Beyond the Pale and saw Breaking Bitter was back on the menu.

    Breaking Bitter is delicious.

    Has anyone used Brew Donkey yet? These guys seem to have taken Beau's' home delivery balls deep for the Ottawa area. Growler delivery seems pretty interesting for a guy that doesn't have time or motivation to go visit BTP or Ashton regularly.

    Morality within the next two weeks, please.

    Brew Donkey sounds awesome (I'm a little unsure how they're gonna turn much of a profit with the brewery mix and match, however). They were advertising having 10 bottles of BTP's Darkerness yesterday, which is seriously one of my favourite Ottawa beers ever.

    I'm pissed off that you have to create an account with BrewDonkey in order to see what you can order.

    This should really be the Morality thread because that's what I (and many others I suspect) am most excited about being released locally.

    According to Castor's Facebook page, a new barrel-aged goodie is coming out soon, a rum-barrel barleywine. My sweet tooth is going to go into hyperdrive. Part of a mixed 4-pack which is intriguing...

    That sounds great! Their barrel aged scotch ale was really tasty too.

    I absolutely agree for the wee heavy, but I find the yakima kinda pricey... it's just just an IPA. A very good IPA, yes, but still an IPA in a 650 ml bottle for like 7-8 bucks. I have wicked high hopes for that barleywine though! Going to be grabbing a bunch of those...

    Oach, that is starting to get a bit high. I think I am paying $6-$6.50/bomber in Gatineau (at BHH). I am with you though, gonna grab a few of the barleywines!

    Yeah, 7$ for a bomber of a top-20 IPA in the world… so expensive. Do I need to remind you of the days when all we had in terms of IPA was Sleeman? :slight_smile:

    The Clocktower Knifewear Tongue Cutter IPA is now available at, I believe, the Bank Street Clocktower Brewpub.

    And Beyond the Pale will have the Darkerness back in stock this weekend.

    I do not think they release bottles, just growlers (and growlers only from the Bank St. location).
