Any must stop places in Savannah, GA?

    Heading out to Savannah for work in a few weeks. Don't have much time to bum around but would love to check out 2 or 3 of the must stop places for good beer and good food. Also, any bottle shops that are must stops so I can snag a few bottles to bring home would be appreciated.

    Agreed. I have family in Savannah and I stop there every time.

    Great information folks, thanks for the info. I'll be headed down to Titusville, FL on 12/20 for the holidays with my wife's family. For Christmas the wife is giving me numerous brew stops on our way down (Charleston, S.C. area w/stops @ Holy City, Westbrook, the Charleston Beer Exchange) into Ridgeland @ RiverDog and finally into Savannah (with a stop @ Moon River AND NOW the Distillery) before we crash for the night ...... sooooooo now I have a NEW destination to hit. Many Thankz from RedNeckBeerz

    P.S. Anyone looking to do an IP trade along the way just shoot me a BM.

    Spent Labor Day in Savannah. +1 for The Distillery. Great place.
    Seek out Southbound, a new Savannah brewery. It's on tap in many places there. Really like the IPA and the Wit. I don't think their tasting room is open yet, but drop by for a cool t-shirt. There is a growler place in town, so you may be able to pick one up there. Have fun.

    Thanks again everyone for the info. I like to let everyone know what I did....

    I went to Habersham and actually scored a bottle of Terrapin Cinnamon Rolled Wake N Bake. That pretty much made my trip! I did stop at the Distillery for dinner. A nice place with nice people who had good knowledge about their beers. We headed downtown and spent some time there. Did the obligatory stops.... Paula Dean's shop, World of Beers, that place with all the frozen drinks (name escapes me) and the candy shops. Pralines were amazing! We also went to Moon River brewery. It's a nice establishment and got the crazy big sampler (10 beers). Not a whole lot of wow factor but a few nice ones for sure. Enjoyed the history behind the brewery...and the ghosts :slight_smile:

    It's a nice city and I can tell we were there in the "off" season. I would love to go back again one day and just explore the city.
