Question about Cigar City, and a possible tasting...

    Sunday, Dec 8th I will be in town a day before my cruise with no plans but beer plans. Firstly, are there random events happening that weekend around Tampa? If not I just plan to hit up Pegs and CCB (other suggestions?).

    Secondly, I am bringing some nice bottles (Origins, Upland Blackberry, FFF Murda'd Out, probably new BCBS variants and more), to share with my El Catador trustee and family of drinkers. I hadnt much planned on where to do this, maybe the hotel, but I just got to thinking...would Cigar City be down with a tasting happening on their property? I'd love to open it up to more people and I want to spend as much time at CCB as possible anyway as I only ever get down there for Hunahpu day. It would be in the afternoon/evening, and outrageously cool of CCB if they allow these kinds of things. I would be more than happy to email them myself but I figured someone on here would have an idea on their past policy for such things.

    If that doesn't happen, we are still doing our little tasting, so if anyone has anything interesting to bring I would not be against inviting a few more people depending on the hotel's stance on drinking in a common area.

    CCB is very down with tastings especially on a slow day like a Sunday. All we do is make sure to give the bartender a taste of what he hasn't had. If I'm not hung over from a party Saturday I'd love to join!

    FYI. Not sure if you've cruised before, but they won't allow booze on the ship. So pack accordingly. :wink:
