Torpedo I buy packs of several times a year. I dont always have it on hand, but I often grab it when I want something hoppy and reliable.
Locally, O'Connor El Guapo. Draft if possible, stores and distributors still haven't gotten good at guarunteeing the bottles freshness, but if its cold, the bottles are usually quite good.

I always love me some torpedo but the pale ale taste great, is easy for a non craft drinker to drink, and I can drink it like water on a hot day plus its a little cheaper. I do get torpedo a good bit aswell though.

Racer 5 is probably my biggest go-to. One of my absolute favorite beers. I feel very fortunate this beer is available in such abundance.

the ones I listed before are the ones I Buy most but I usually just try to have a D/IPA, Stout/RIS, 1 or 2 belgian styles and something new in the fridge. And then rotate between my favorites of each style when not trying something new.

Now that Two Hearted has found its way to NY I constantly have it in my fridge. Really is amazing stuff. Consistent, crisp, AND SO GOD DAMN CLEAN.

I've thought about this too but remember breweries like Troegs, Victory, Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, Dogfish Head, etc have expanded and/or are expanding. So they must be selling more than just their seasonal/limited beers, right? I like to think that Beer Geeks aren't the only ones drinking craft. My neighbor across the street has an empty case of a Boston Beer product out at the trash every week. He is by no means a beer geek but he likes better beer. There are probably more buyers of beer like that then there are Beer Geeks who only buy beer by the bomber. And if I were a brewer I'd want my consumers to be those who buy by the case instead of those who only buy limited releases.

I buy Ipswich oatmeal stout all the time because it is one of my favorite beers. I also buy whatever Dundee mixed 12 pack is out all the time in addition to Genny Cream. They are super cheap, and the beers are decent and good to have around. I buy other things regularly, but these are things I always have on hand.

My personal opinion, obviously without criticizing your view in any way, is that I would always choose Torpedo over SNPA, if given the option. At my liquor store, Torpedo is the same price by the case (maybe $1-2 more)

yeah, this is weird, I just looked and 6 packs of torpedo are the same price as 6s of SNPA but 16oz 4 packs of torpedo are more expensive. Are cans more expensive than bottles?. I like SNPA but I mainly get it for my non craft family and friends.

That last sentiment is the only reason I think I might consider buying SNPA.

As to your other question, I have no idea whether cans or bottles are more expensive, but I imagine bottles must be more expensive, no? Anyway, it might be priced that way due to the novelty/ growing popularity of craft in can form/ popularity of tall boy cans
