Funkys the only one I didn't get... Not a fan of beer aged in wine barrels... If you have something sick to trade I'll find out about getting you grumpy... That's be the only one I can get though, and it's damn good

One of my favorites has to be the Dogfish/Stone/Victory Saison du BUFF. Such a unique beer. Perfect for a hot summer day.

Double Dose, Double Dose, Double Dose. I fiend for that one and would travel far to get more.

Collaboration Not Litigation by Avery and RR. That beer was fantastic.

Just had the New Belgium and Cigar City chile ale. Really disappointing. Anyone else had this?

I would agree, nothing knock out. You only get a wisp of heat and then its gone, which isn't bad but the background ale was nothing stellar. Not sure what I was expecting, but wish they had done something weirder or ageable. They should have done a stout. NB doesn't have one stout out currently (unless you count the one-off Imperial Chocolate Coffee Stout, but there are 3 retired Pat's Stouts which have very little reviews, don't turn up on a google search and seem to be the precursor for the ICC stout). NB could have used Cigar City's stout expertise and put out a knockout.

Some collabs I think haven't been mentioned...

    BrewDog / Stone Bashah
    Three Floyds / Mikkeller Risgoop
    Mikkeller/Three Floyds Boogoop

    And another vote for:

The Alchemist / Ninkasi / Stone More Brown than Black IPA

Mrs. Stoutfire collab from The Bruery and Beachwood Brewing was (and still is) pretty good. I haven't tried too many collaborations, though, to be fair.

To Øl and Mikkeller - Sleep Over Coffee IIPA. An astounding and confounding brew.

To be honest I haven't had too many collaberation beers, but for the most part they have seemed to not be very good and have let me down especially when some big names are attached that usually put out good beers. Just had a Natural Selection by Flying Dog/Evolution the other night and that one was very good. Probably the first collaboration beer I've really thought was stellar. What are your all's experiences and opinions?

I haven't had too many collaboration beers to give a well thought out and honest opinion, however, I have noticed that none of them really stand out to me. The only one that I thought was really good was the Otter Creek/Lawson's Double Dose IPA. Bottled was good, but on tap it was extremely pleasant.

Had a ton of them, some are novelties, some were innovative experimentations that changed the scene. Good way for a small brewery to spread their name.

I'm normally pretty excited when they are released, but usually pretty let down when I drink them.

Maybe Shawn Hill and the Alchemist should collaborate and release a beer called "Raiders of the Lost Ale"!
