Anybody willing to mule me 4 bottles of Event Horizon from Bestway? I work in Greensboro, but I live in Raleigh. I just happen to be out of the office today. I will pay for two of your bottles if you will grab four for me. I will give you cash when you give me the bottles. BM me. Thanks.

They only had 5 cases left at 1 pm. New shipment arrives around 7 pm tonight. What an insane number.

P.S. Heard there are possibly growlers of Olde School. Crazy.

Find it interesting that they limited LP to six bottles but let the truck chasers who don't work standard schedules have at this one early and often.

I have no idea why I assume so, but I've always thought Lindley Park was made in smaller quantities.

And while I personally don't see the benefit in making the trip to GSO for this, I think this is far from truck chasing. It's scheduled and they had a large quantity. People who chase trucks usually get theirs because they choose to run from store to store throughout the day at whatever random times beers get released. I think there is a lot fairer of a shot with the way Bestway released it. If you can and care enough you go. Personally I don't need an entire case so or want to have it right away so I am confident enough will be around that I can acquire what I want/need without making a trip out of the city or truck chasing.

I think Lindley Park is done in last years EvHO barrels, so it shouldn't be that different. I could be wrong. They can release it however they want, I just find it interesting.

The quantities are quite diffferent between the two releases. Also, our observation today was that customers today came in with lists of bottles for each friend. Much easier for 1 person to buy for 6 people than for 6 people to come at the same time. Also, we have set up a second release for 7pm for those that had to work today.

    Cheers!

I think its remarkable how 57 cases (+whatever was released at 7) of a very particular style (ie 80% of my friends/family wont drink it) gets gone sooo fast...and its local and not exactly cheap! Olde Hickory should be very proud and those folks that didn't make/mule it to GSO today, you should be able to find it in your market if you try a little over the next couple of weeks.

I'm not quite sure what you find "interesting". Are you trying to elude to a conspiracy? That Olde Hickory/Bestway are involved in a monopoly/that they were the ones involved in the Lindburg baby kidnapping/the Kennedy assassination? Why don't you come right out and say what you mean as opposed to beating around the bush. I mean hell, Roger did have 2 releases to allow those that worked today to get in on the release tonight. What more do you want? Them to personally call you? This is friggin ridiculous. And to elude to those that showed up @ 9 this morning as "truck chasers" is pretty low. You really come across as a spoiled bytch. Cheers & Happy Thanksgiving, Gary W. Maness aka RedNeckBeerz

Ha! There's usually a lot of this one to go around. I remember the very first year it was released how long it took for people to realize how good it was. You could find it at most places for $11.99. Of course, once people found out how great it was, that's when people started buying them up with the intent to trade.

It's one of my favorite beers, so I'm really looking forward to getting a few bottles of the 2013. I have a vertical of '10, '11 and '12 that I need to drink soon, too!

I picked up a whopping 4 bottles today @ Bestway (you know how us broke truck chasers are) and cracked one earlier tonight. In my low life opinion it is delicious (4.4 - 4.5 to me). Cheerz from RedNeckBeerz
