Isn't the 4 pack $22 (for all of them that come that way)? $6 for one doesn't seem like even a bad deal given that you only have to buy one of them. Quantity discount and all that.

Yeah, the 4pack is between 20-24 so I'm not really sure what the problem is. Also, no need to deal with midwestern traders who want 1 DDG per 4pack. That alone is probably the biggest thing to be happy about.

Who makes BA Barleywines for cheaper than $6/12oz or $11/22oz?

My issue is that you can only buy 1 when they come in 4 packs. If it was $22 a 4 pack I'd have no problem but I'm not gonna drive 25 minutes locally for 1 bottle. And IIRC it was $6.50. Once again, not a deal breaker but with the limit, it's just not worth it to me personally. Also, I don't like barley wines so yeah. I'll stick to my case of BCBS and be happy.

Ooh. I thought you had walked in, saw it for $6, then walked out. Your reasoning totally makes sense

I think a lot of the small stores are going to push those bottle limits. Just be glad you can buy them and not have to trade rare stuff for them.

I think you're wrong. I've called three or four stores and nobody has a 1 bottle limit per person any BCBS or any of its variants if they have it.

So far, Adams Fine Wines, Vendome TL, Green Jug, and Bill's Liquor (all small or independent stores) are instituting such bottle limits. The only stores, thus far, which have allowed customers to walk off with entire 4-packs or larger have been big box stores such as Bevmo and Total Wine and all they've had to offer was BCBS. Am I still wrong?

A limit of one 12oz bottle is ridiculous. At least do 2. I understand it'll increase traffic to your store (and therefore money), but that's still a tiny amount of beer, especially for one that's regularly sold in 4-packs

Vendome BH and Valley Bev don't have 1 bottle limits. Same goes for Hill Top in HB. At least from what I've been told.

I'm not going to disagree with you there. I'd prefer a larger amount but I'd rather have 1 bottle than 0, which is how it's been for the last 3 years. Heck, we never even got the variants before. I'm just happy we can get them.

Vendome BH will have 1 bottle limits (per style/variant) as well. I just got back from the store about an hour ago so I'll consider my information fairly up-to-date.

Well I don't know how many times you went! Honestly I'm not trying to hate. More power to you if you're willing to drive out for what you want. As I stated before, I'm more than happy with my case of BCBS, especially considering I paid around $20 per since I had a coupon.

To be honest, I don't even have any bottles in my possession at the moment. All the places I checked out were in the West Side and no one was selling any today. By the time I found out about Vendome TL, traffic was in full swing and I just about had it already. If things work out, I'll find some on Friday.

Good luck. If you're looking for the original, I know Bevmo in Woodland Hills is selling as well (at least that's what my friend told me). I just called Northridge to see if they would sell my friend another case and they said no so maybe they had a change of heart about selling.

Thanks. I'm having my nephew see if he can get some for me at the Bevmo in Northridge. If not, then I guess I'm doing the whole Black Friday thing.

Looks like they stopped selling it at Bevmo Northridge.

I'm pretty sure a distributor on this website saw my posted and reported it in..

Edit:: just called Northridge Total Wine. They said 2 packs left? He also told me they're getting barley wine and it should be there by Friday but no guarantees. Too bad I'll be out of town.
