I really like cheer. Also, the new Wit is pretty decent. I'll pick up a 6'er

I did get a sixer of this for a party Saturday night... drank two myself.. they were good... I also brought a Pranqster along... not exactly the same but something to compare.... I liked the Pranqster more, but they were certainly different... thought the White Wing had more flavors involved... its a good beer.

The entire six pack was consumed before the end of the night, with no complaints. Good job by Spoetzl.

Anyone know how it compares to the other cheap/widely-available wits we get (Hoegaarden, Blanche de Bruxelles, Blanche de Chambly, etc)?

It's probably better than Blue Moon but its damn impossible to be worst than Hoegaarden.

I'm not a big fan of shiner like most people these days, but back then I enjoyed Frost more than Cheer.

Had White Wing last week. Unfortunately i was just getting over a pretty rough cold at the time, so my taste/nose wasn't back up to speed. Liked what I was able to get out of it, though.

Excited to try it again now that my shit's right.

They need to bring back Shiner Smokehaus. That's the last truly legit seasonal they've made.

I've liked most of their seasonal beers.. may not be love, but I really liked them... I drank a bunch of Shiner 101. Guess that was an anniversary beer instead of seasonal... but White Wing is 104... so the tradition continues.

About the same as JK Noble King in my book.

I dunno if y'all watch Hulu... but it seems like Shiner White Wing has bought every single commercial break for every show I watch, lol.

Well said. In college (90s) I used to think Shiner Bock was liquid gold compared to the Keystone light crap everyone drank. And yep remember hating IPAs. Now I brew them.

From this point forward I will stop the hate. It's like forgetting the little people along the way.

I still thought they used adjunts, but if not then I will not only stop the hate but maybe I'll try this new one.

Shiner has definitely uses corn as an adjunct and possibly rice (iirc?).

    For flavor, lol.
