What was the price for BCBS?

 

Hype or not, Houston's thirst for beer is insane.

 

bcbs 4pks at austin HEB were 17.49 and at whole foods was 17.99

 

I just walked into my neighborhood Spec's and asked for a 4 pack and was handed one. 6am is a bit much, but to each their own.

 

I like how Matt just walked past everyone in line waiting apologizing lol

I'm happy with what I got, but I am no where near as Mattchow happy

 

I <4 BCS so much.

 

Kinda happy with my haul. For Houston, this is pretty solid. All hail Smith Street Spec's!

 

6:55am was too late for abyss or sucaba dammit.

 

So glad I buy most of my beers in Seattle as the FW and Abyss aren't too special but that line is insane for BCBS. Anyone know if other places in houston got BCBS? Find it rather strange that they got 55cases, did Specs as a company get the entire distribution allotment for the Houston region? Is that even legal? Been trying to hunt down non-Spec locations (grocery or family owned liquor stores) and it appears they have not gotten anything yet. Anyone else able to confirm other locations in Houston distribution area?

 

Just bought 2 4-packs at HEB Bunker Hill. All WF have cases, and are selling single bottles only at $5 a pop. All specs should have a couple of cases, limit of 1 4-pack.

 

Waltzed into Central Market Houston (Westheimer at Wesleyan) with the family. Shortly later, walked out with three 4-packs BCBS and a couple BBXV for good measure. Double Bastard around, too. Sure beats standing in line for 4 hours! Limit one 4-pack per person, $17.99. They said they don't have much, though.

 

just grabbed a 4 pack at spec's spring valley, wandered in on my way to home depot... beer guys has them in back, just have to ask.

 

Specs Clear Lake still has 3+ cases it looks like. Limit one 4-pack @$18.99.

 

Had' to be more than 55 cases because there were roughly 100 people in front of me and I got two four packs of BCBS, Old School BW and the 512 Anniversiary I Stout. I heard there were 100 cases there.

Well, the only ones of those I don't have in my pantry already are the BCBS and BwB, and I did have the BwB from draft at lunch today, so not sweating missing out on today's standing in line for hours. Happy for you, though as that is a nice haul.

 

Bay area specs is sold out.

 

Wow, I expected it to last longer.
