So is everywhere in austin pretty much out? Just wanted to pick up a 4 pack...

 

HEB Mueller just posted that they put theirs out 30 minutes ago.

HEB at UT (41st/Red River) hasn't posted anything yet (and they're probably one of the biggest AB accounts in town). I'd check there as well.

 

If anybody (in Houston or Austin) feels like grabbing an extra pack that I can pick up in a few weeks from Mueller or elsewhere, I'd be happy to quickpay/gwallet/paypal you the money for it! My BCBS thirst is insatiable.

I went to the UT one yesterday at around 3:30 and they were out. The person there said they only got 3 cases.

 

4-packs in January...

 

They only gave three cases to Nick? That's nuts! They got **ten cases** of WBDPP, and... more cases of Sucaba than they should have got.

Yeah I was pretty shocked considering all of the stories of BCBS showing up at random HEBs all over the city. The lady I talked to told me that Mueller only got 3 cases as well, but their wine steward didn't come in yesterday so they weren't putting it out til today.

 

I asked a Goose Island rep on Wednesday. He said no.

I was told 100 cases for TX. 50-60 of those at Specs Houston and Whole Foods, and the rest scattered about. So most places got 5 cases max, with smaller places only getting 1.

 

Whole Foods had 35, iirc... so the number had to be higher (guessing 200-300 cases.

Central Markets, and HEB Escarpment in ATX both got 5 from what I understand. And Specs Brodie got 20.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that 2500 barrels (twice as many as last year) were used for this batch of BCBS (not sure if that included variants or not), but that comes out to something like 826K 12 oz bottles, about 34400 cases. If so, I'd bet Texas got many more cases.

Yup, typed that wrong. Meant to say somewhere around 100-150 cases for Austin, not TX. Didnt proof-read that post!

 

Specs Downtown got 55, WFM Waugh had 8 or so.

 

Seeing all of those variants... in a video... sigh. Hopefully they just HAPPEN to pop out while I'm in Texas.
