I've only seen this at the Seattle International Beer Festival. Man is it delicious...

It's always been released in single 750mL bottles.

I've had several two year old bottles, and while they were good, they weren't much of an improvement over fresh (since it was a pretty smooth RIS to begin with). That said, the last one I drank was a 2010, so maybe the increase in abv. has changed things.

Wow, never heard of Big Sky's involvement in that bill...that is a shame. There are a lot of great breweries in Montana, it would have killed off all of the small ones. Even my small little town has a good brewery, it would have surely been put under by that bill. Apparently Big Sky cares more about having all the business instead of promoting their craft. That's okay, there's plenty of other great breweries in the same town to choose from.

I thought Ivan was good. I had one fresh and another bottle with about 6 months on it. It's a notch below Parabola, BCBS, BBPt5th, etc. though.

Which was better? The bottle with a little age, or the fresh one, or about the same?

I should have taken notes, but I think aged was better. Looking at my review of the fresh bottle, I noted that carbonation was a tad bit sharp.

Thanks for the tip. I think I'll add this one to the cellar as I prefer lower carbonation levels in my stouts.
