Can I get that in a hoodie? Wee bit cold for just a t-shirt. But a great idea for sure

Do they also sell other beers to go during this sale? I seem to recall this being the way to get mass quantities of the cherry BBA stout....

Wish I could make it this year but will be out of town! If anyone is willing to proxy and either ship or drop off in Racine I'd greatly appreciate it and could throw in some beers for your generosity.

Are bottles 12oz or bomber format? This will be my first year attending.

Pretty sure they come in bombers, if 1414 and 15 are any indication.

Stupid question (sorry if already answered), but do you all do bottle shares at this event like at Dark Lord Day and Darkness Day? Just wondering if a hotel is a good idea, or if it's more of a pick up your beer and leave kind of thing.

In the words of Paul Wall: "Sittin' sideways, boys in a daze"

For those that don't speak middle aged white rapper, It's a really fun party and you should probably stay and get a hotel.

IIRC they specifically ask people not to drink any beer on the grounds outside of the brewery because it will get them into trouble with the city, and obviously bringing and drinking someone else's beer inside their brewery is kind of not a kosher thing to do, so my take would be no bottle sharing, other than perhaps opening a CW bottle inside that you just bought.

How does this all work in terms of logistics? Where is the pickup site in relation to the actual party? Can we drive to the pickup site to load up our cars, then go and park in Stevens Point to catch the shuttle bus to the party?

    This is completely wrong.

The Central Waters crew has welcomed bottle shares inside the brewery during the Anniversary Party for all of the years that I've been going, though it has turned from a small room with 10-15 people into last year's multiple cafeteria tables covered in tasting beer.

Unless something changes radically this year, sharing has always been welcome. That said, it was kind of a mosh pit last year & I stayed away from it for the first time. Too much good Central Waters to drink!

Er...you may be right about them welcoming bottle shares inside the brewery specifically for the Anniversary Party -- I was just going by what I've been told by CW people for other events this past year -- but I'm pretty sure about the "no consuming beer in the parking lot or grounds" part, which is where most bottle shares at things like Dark Lord Day take place.

I believe someone from CW posted explicitly about it on their FB page in response to a question about their GABF event in October, if someone wants to go back and dig it up.

And that Central Waters would never charge people $15 for 12oz of beer because they are Central Waters

Yes bottle share inside the brew facility. No drinking out in the parking area. You pick your beer up in the same place the party is going on. they had two separate buildings connected via awning/canopy/tent to make for more space last year and it worked really well. You can usually come in get your beer and take it out to vehicle. Beware though I've seen a few guys drop their new bottles all over the floor.
The brewery has expanded again (as of Sept when I was at the Black Gold release) which added about 30%+ more space in the back part of brewery. So there should be more room than previous years depending of course on how much more equipment is in there taking up space.
Also for anyone needing someone to pick up & Ship your 16 allotment PM Me, I'd be happy to do it... if you don't mind throwing me a bottle.
