Olde Hickory Event Horizon Bottle Release

None in Charlotte? I don't know. Seems like Monsieur Brawley would have some, and others. All that I was speaking to was the release and I thought more was available elsewhere soon thereafter. The OP mentioned release as opposed to general distribution.

 

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm not too worried as I know Charlotte will see plenty of it in due time.

 

We will begin selling EH at 1pm sat the 7th.

 

Hey Guys,

I'm rolling into Charlotte this weekend to visit some family on my wife's side... I was planning on sneaking away at some point to check out a bottle shop or two, and after seeing this, I may be able to snag some EH. My question is this: Since I know my wife's not going to want me gone for long, what are chance's of rolling up around release time at place like Brawley's or Duckworth's and grabbing a couple of bottles? I've never been to an EH release, so I wasn't sure if I'd need to get in early to lineup, etc.

 

I can't speak for those bottle shops specifically, but it was easy to get bottles at Bestway. I was the first one there, and had 2 cases in hand by release time. I also didn't see many other people until maybe 30 mins to an hr after the release time. I would think it would be easy to get bottles, as long as the bottle shops have a good bit to sell.

 

If you goto Brawleys at 1, you will probably walk out at 1:05 with as much EH as you want (within reason of course)...grab a 4 pack of cans fresh Hop Drop and Roll while you are at it. (its in the walk in)

 

I would expect you would have no problem no matter what time you go. Here in Winston it was released on Black Friday....and as of yesterday all the stores had multiple cases still available

 

Good looking out fella's. Anything else I should keep my eyes open for?

 

where are you from? have you ever used www.seekabrew.com to see what breweries are available in your state vs the one you are visiting. I use it when I travel to figure out what I should be on the lookout for..

 

I've found that beermenus.com is useful in finding what beers are currently out.

Coming from Atlanta. I have used seekabrew... just wasn't sure if there was something cool and hidden I didn't know about

 

Hope to get some again this year.

 

I reckon we'll be at this, just like we were last year.

 

We are just waiting to sell ours at the request of the brewery to allow Duckworths to Have their Release party. We will begin selling after their event. Your stop can be a quick as you like but we hope it takes you at least a few minutes. :]

 

Around Durham today with various limits/pricing, definitely at least at Total Wine and Sam's.

 

Anyone happen to know what kind of barrels were used for this year's batch?
