flavors you don't like, except in beer

    So, I don't like cherries in anything. Except, BCBS Cherry Rye I absolutely love.

    I don't like Coconut. Is this a reason to not trade for a Proprieters Rye?

    Anyone else have flavors that don't like to eat, but love in beer?

    or vice versa - flavors you love to eat, but don't like in beer?

    Friend of mine who I do most of my drinking with doesn't like coffee but likes coffee stouts.

    i agree with u, i dislike coconut quite a bit, but i love coconut in beer, coconut porter from maui and koko brown from maui are 2 that i really enjoy

    Cloves. I usually hate cloves. But when I smell it in a nice spice profile in a beer...it just makes sense.

    Cloves on a ham...wrong. Cloves and a quad ale...right!

    I do not like grapefruit, trying to because it is so good for you... but west coast ipas with that citrus grapefruit are easily my favorite style.

    I like chili peppers, but not in beer. Ghostface Killa tastes like a bag of jalapeño kettle cooked potato chips.

    Coffee. I have had 2 cups of coffee in my life, and I cannot stand the flavor of it. The smell, however, is a different story. I never understood how it could smell heavenly and taste terrible.

    However, I love coffee beers. KBS and BCBCS are 2 of my top 5 beers of all time.

    Well not a big fan of black licorice, but it seems its in some stouts. its weird I like the smell but usually dislike black licorice.
    I just recently revisited some Bell stouts and in some I can taste it and others not so much, but they say it in there so I believe them.

    clove is interesting i like it in some things. I just it all subjective and takes the right balance.

    Hop flavors. Those strong, bitter, piney resinous notes don't work anywhere but in a beer to me.

    Not really a fan of coffee, or coffee flavor in most situations. That said, coffee stouts and porters are usually something I enjoy.

    Coffee -- I don't like actual coffee yet I love coffee stouts, chocolate covered coffee beans and Kahlua.

    yeah I didn't think of that but I agree. I don't like grapefruit at all, love that flavor in IPA's though
