I was just wondering if there is any brewery that you think might start distributing in MD, besides Founders (soon) and Bell's (no idea)?

Anything you could reasonably see distributed here within the next few years?

Foothills is coming to NOVA and DC soon so they may go to MD. Others I would think would be Hoppin Frog, Great Lakes or Duck Rabbit.

I always thought it was flat out weird that Great Lakes doesn't distribute to Maryland. Hell, it was even available in Morgantown (WV) the brief time I was living there, and virtually nothing gets sent to Morgantown (the craft market is completely dominated by sierra nevada and Rogue... OK, Yuengling too, if that counts.). Yet they were getting GL and Maryland doesn't.

It would be nice if Founders and Great Lakes arrived to MD. Currently I'm working at least once a month in PG/Montgomery County so I always make a trip into VA or DC to grab some stuff. I keep meaning to buy some Avery but I'm not sure what.

I took a tour of a local Northern Virginia brewery this weekend, Lost Rhino, and they mentioned that they were probably going to be distributing into the Maryland subburbs of DC in the near future (6 months to a year). So that will be a new local(ish) brewery's beers in Maryland.

I like Lost Rhino's beers. They're Face Plant IPA is a solid IPA, their Rhino Chaser's Pils is quite good, as is their New River Pale Ale (all three are bottled and canned), and their Keller Kolsh is very good. My favorite beers from Lost Rhino, (Lost & Proper Wee Heavy, 2200 Lbs of Sin Barley Wine, and Holy Brew Brown a Belgian Brown Ale) are fantastic, but unfortunately, they are not bottled as of yet.

Is there any timetable on when Founder's will come to MD? It was "confirmed" before the government shutdown, but then during the shutdown it was said to be on hold because TTB is nonessential. Is it happening anytime soon?

The rumor is that is was being sent from the brewery to Legends end of last week. Don't know what was being sent though. As John has mentioned before, if this is true, I'm surprised there is nothing from Max's yet. If anyone is at Max's this week, they may know the inside scoop.

I've heard about Founders and Bells coming to Maryland 'soon' for so long, I think I kind of thought it had already happened. Still don't know why Cigar City and/or Duck Rabbit isn't here. Don't they have to go through/past us to get to PA?

There are some I'd like to see come back, Thirsty Dog, Avery, and Shelton Bros. Don't know what happened to the Founders beer that was sitting at the brewery then supposedly en route. Maybe it's sitting at Legends?

I cant get all that exited about Bells but Founders hell yeah! Hoppin Frog and Great Lakes would be great as well. State Line generally has bombers of Avery is that officially gone from MD?

I hadn't realized that Shelton brothers pulled out of Maryland (or I guess I had forgotten). When did that happen? I would think the lack of SB products would significantly curtail the selection during the annual Belgian fest at Max's, yet that never seems to be the case.

I need to clarify, Cantillon, Drie Fonteinen, Fantome, and De Ranke (Kriek specifically). I know most of this is hard to find all over the country and it may not be Shelton but I haven't seen any of them (except some seasonal Fantomes) in a long time. Avery I was told will not send any more to MD because of an incident with the distributor a while ago.

Never seen any Fantome, but Shawan has had Drie Fonteinen recently and possibly De Ranke (or was that Total Wine, I can't remember).

Founders (1st, quite soon) and Great Lakes (2nd, summer) will be here in 2014. Most of you probably saw the Ithaca thread too. It's a no on Bell's since they picked NY for this year.

Port/Lost Abbey would be nice. Right now they go to PA and NJ. Less likely, although one could hope, would be Alesmith.

The last thing I've heard from founders about maryland was on January 22nd that they were still actively working on it. Have you heard anything since?
