Coffee and dark chocolate, I hate them both but I live coffee stouts and stouts brewed with cocoa. Imperial coffee stouts are one of my favorite styles of beer.

Like most others its coffee for me, I loathe foods that remotely tastes like coffee and I haven't been able to stomach even a cup of the stuff in my entire life. That being said I absolutely love coffee stouts and aggressively seek out any stout that combines coffee and bourbon.

Raisins, baby diapers, must, dark chocolate. All things I don't enjoy unless they're in the right beer.

Hmm...I like hot dogs, but I think I might puke if a beer tasted like a hot dog. Same with lasagna.

Yikes. Please tell me this is the smell/flavor others (myself included) call band-aid/medicinal and not actually #2.

I love onion and garlic, but cannot bring myself to sip another devil dancer/gubna.

I also hated coffee and dark chocolate but now enjoy both of them because of their beer contributions.

Seriously? Next year's Bourbon County is aged in Hot Dog barrels.
You're gonna miss out on some mighty tastey brew.

C'mon, you know someone is gonna make a Hot dog brew, they probably already have- with REAL hot dog water in the brew. Bacon, naturally hot dogs will follow. I don't think Lasagna beer is possible, too many ingredients.

    Am I right?
But seriously, a Hot Dog infused Saison aged in white wine barrels w/ Brett is comin your way soon.

I don't think there are any flavors that I don't like in real life but like in beer, except for maybe funky stink.

I do know that I quite like grapefruit in real life and absolutely hate it when it's the prominent flavor in an IPA.

Coffee. I mean, maybe I'll have a cup here and there... but I love it as a flavor in stout.

    It just makes sense.

I like coffee flavor in two things:

    1) Coffee
    2) Beer

Coffee ice cream (including Frappacinos and the like), pastries, the AXE bodyspray that smells like coffee, and even the iced-coffee drinks in the convenience store fridge case can all take a flying leap. I can't stand 'em. Love me some good coffee flavor in a stout or porter though.

I hate grapefruit, love grapefruity hops
I hate rye bread, love rye beer
I hate bleu cheese, love the bleu cheese-esque aroma in a gueuze
I hate green olive, love the green olive flavor and aroma that Brett gives off
I hate bourbon, love bourbon and oak notes in barrel-aged beers
    I don't like mint chocolate...even in beer
I don't like black licorice but I can tolerate it in some beers if it works with the profile
And then, going in the other direction, I love smoked meats but hate smoked beers

The Band-Aid / medicinal / cleaning solvent qualities evident in Fantome Saison and a handful of other farmhouse style specialty ales is wonderful in those beverages and repulsive like a hospital anywhere else.

Another vote for raisins. I can't stand them on their own, or in anything else, but love them in beer.

i think it's pretty amazing how much the rest of a beer can transform otherwise straightforward flavors like the ones posted above. flavor is a fascinating thing...
