No. It's clearly an empty bottle.

Damn, it would be cool to have that bottle, but I have a hard time paying $30 for a bottle with the beer still in it!

I can see it happening if someone wants to complete a display. Those empty bottles are like gold and you aren't going to get one any other way unless you know the person popping the bottle. You KNOW there are tons of people that want that bottle empty or not. Yah it's crazy but when I've asked people to buy their empty for $50 they just looked at me and laughed. It was a trophy to them. That's a white whale. I bet it goes somewhere around $120 if I had to guess. There are 3 days left on the auction if that tells you anything.

That full bottle goes for a lot if you can find someone to sell one to you. A few years ago when biglobo wanted to do a vertical at Darkness Day someone with a couple of them wouldn't even take $500 for the bottle and that was 2011. Not sure how they ended up getting one but they did.

Surly has an event coming up where all 7 artists will be there to sign the bottles. Would be awesome to have the entire collection and for it to be signed.

Wishing I had one of my empties. Or that is, the one and only I emptied. Still my favorite Darkness art to date!

Still 3 days 5hours left as I write this and its at $116!

Shit. Wish I would have bought more back in 2007. I could have drank the beer and still made 10x profit on the bottle alone...thats what I call an investment.

Wish I had my two empties. Threw them out right after drinking them long ago. Would be nice to get a bottle, its obviously become "collectible" and will fetch way more than its worth. I'm sure it will go for over $200.

I'm aware of a FULL 2007 Darkness bottle that is quietly on the market. The guy is looking to trade it for some high end bourbon (Pappy 23 and 20, I believe). PM me if anyone is interested and I can pass along his info.

Zipps had Pappy 10, 12, and 15 on the shelves Tuesday...for about an hour.

Less than that! I saw the post, ran over there. Got there maybe 15 minutes after they put it on Twitter and it was long gone. Guy said it lasted maybe 3-5 minutes. I can't imagine that many people live/work within 5 minutes of Zipps...word must have snuck out even earlier.

Surdyk's did a pappy release this morning. 1 bottle 23, 1 bottle 20, 1 bottle 15 and i think 3 ryes. Obviously, they get more than this so they are either taking care of customers behind the scenes or selling through secondary channels. Based on their greedy past, I'm guessing the latter.

I heard a rumor that sometimes empty bottles are listed on ebay but they aren't really empty. Has anybody had any first hand experience with this?

I have seen that before. "Empty" bottles being listed for $100 or more and they conveniently don't show a picture of the top of the bottle or wax seal.

    This is clearly empty though.

But theoretically if I didn't want to arouse suspicion I would post a picture of a clearly empty bottle.

This was actually on the news tonight and they said they had roughly 45 bottles that the people in line got. And yah they were priced above what retail should be.
