Upland Sour Lottery: Cherry, Raspberry, & SR #4

If you're looking for a solid spot to check out while in Indy, go to Twenty Tap, a great beer bar just a few blocks from the Upland tasting room. 38 rotating taps of a lot of local beers plus some incredible bar food. I've heard they also started brewing their own in the basement.

Indy's no Chicago, but the beer scene is becoming something pretty special here.

sure does....and the people drinking Cherry Rye at Twenty Tap last night also agree that Wednesdays are terrible.

Actually, I'm kinda glad, in a selfish way, that people think Indy sucks.....more awesome stuff for us to enjoy locally.

manoshevitz......so between chicago and indiapolis is one trick pony, three floyds, crown brewing. Once in indy, there is sun king (with free samples), flat 12, brugge brasserie, broad ripple. As well as bottle shops like kahns & crown liquors. Do you not like to try new breweries or different beers?

Should I start with their museum of art which is unbelievable? the medical museum? kurt vonnegut memorial library? How bout the different restaurants? I mean I love chicago as much as the next guy, but if you cant find anything else between chicago and indy and then in indy you're doing life wrong.

Why not stop in Lafayette and visit the childhood home of axl rose? This post wasn't meant as negative so don't take it as so and asking for gas money seems logical but don't slight someone else's city.

Just got my confirmation email this morning as well. Odd but no complaints here!

 

Work kept me here until around 6:30 last night and by the time I got to Twenty Tap the Cherry and the Backyard were gone. I was bummed since I missed out on the black friday stuff here too, so that was likely my last real chance to get my hands on a bottle. I was happy to have BCBS and BCBBW on tap though. I'm immensely impressed with the BCBBW.

edit: i should say, my original post should mention visiting those places on a wednesday sucks. i'm more interested in visiting breweries than a bar. in chicago, cherry rye is a keg turd. come over tomorrow and i'll get you a pour.

no, not every wednesday, obviously. But you never know what special tappings there will be around here. Twenty Tap has a lot of events on Wednesdays.
