I posted an ISO/FT thread, and got a response?

But like I said. Not everyone's either a tyrant or otherwise got their head up their ass. Some people are happy to trade shit they bought off the shelf for things they can't get on the shelf or without a membership. I wish more people saw the value of a beer in what they paid for it, and nothing more. This place would be a hell of a lot nicer place to trade if the landscape didn't dictate everyone assigned the greatest value to whichever beer happened to be in their possession at the time.

Nice to see some stores not holding this shit hostage, too.

For what it's worth. I've done BT for Proprietors straight up, BT + Beauregarde for Proprietors, and BT + Beauregarde for Proprietors + 2 BCBCS + 1 BCBBW. I threw in some nice extras for all of them, however, cuz that's how the mantis shrimp do.

I would recommend getting some trades in with same people and before you know it, you have connections in each party of the country where you don't have to trade ridiculously for beer you want. I've traded or most of my variants with former trade partners. One was with a guy that sent me a CBS or a shitload if cigar city stuff he first time. Hen he traded me for some Coffee bomber lasy year and I said if send him some huna. In the end we both got beers we wanted without giving up a ton of stuff.

Then I have came across traders that same way. Started with local trades, escalated into some semi limited
Stuff and now it's at the point if sending rare stuff each if us can get.

One guy I trustee for sends me boxes all the time to send him his catador bottles. We have just agreed to send each other good beer that we both want. Hell, he lives in Illinois and missed on coffee, I found a case downt here for him and am sending that up soon.
My trade partners don't just give me rare beer for shelf jai alai etc lol but in the end it is fair or works out to be fair over the long run.

I commented to one of my trade partners how nice it is to not have to be scowling the forums for a trade that I can do and how awesome it is we continue to hook each other up with good beer from our respected state.

That's the best advice I can give....and also,
Realize you won't get To try every beer released unless you hit the lottery lol

^ This man speaks the truth. Try to do trades with people in various parts of the country where you have specific breweries you're infatuated with. Throw boxes back and forth at one another and establish a nice rapport with them. Before you know it, there's very little you actually need to go to the trade forums to procure.

Just to echo the last two posters as someone in Illinois that was able to find some Proprietor's, I haven't flinched at the insane trade offers people have been throwing out there. I got enough for myself to drink with friends and hopefully enough to send a bottle to my regular trade partners. That's all. I've been blown away with boxes in the past, then I try to retalliate and vice versa. Those guys are the folks that I send stuff like this to. It is easier on both parties.

As a follow up... I just had my first bottle this morning...and it was a damn fine beer. No doubt. Bourbon County Coconut should be a staple the same as coffee. It was a very nice twist.

I had one of the few I traded for tonight. Its a great beer, but its still just a twist on bourbon county. The hype on this got to me and it's out of control. Proprietor's not worth some of these crazy trades that are happening.

Isn't that always the case with a new release? Over-hyped and often under delivered?

Stick with your local goodies, never disappoints and you don't have to give your first born to get them.

This beer is neither over hyped, nor did it under deliver, in my opinion. That said, I still think too much is being asked for it given the amount produced, regardless of whether it's distributed or in this instance, not. This was an outstanding variant in a long line of them. Whether it's better than much of what you'll have to give up for one at this point, is both debatable and a matter of personal taste. That said, I thoroughly enjoy it and hope I have bottles of things I've had a number of times that are sufficient to land another bottle or two. I'd really like to experience it again.

So Backyard Rye's "Gots" exceed it's "Wants", usually a sign for me that it won't require anything too special to trade for it.

However, the ISO's posted speak otherwise. Not sure which ones are getting done.

The whole Boubon County line is over valued on BA, even the Proprietors is going for insane trades.
I can still get the reg at almost any store that had it on black Friday. My friends have told me they found coffee on the shelf just yesterday. And Backyard seems to be trickling out in retial stores and I know of 3 bars that have it in the cooler as I type this.

All of the BC stuff is damn good, the BCBW is FUCKING AMAZING (had it on draft). Just dont see what all the hype is about. Next year as BUD/InBev spread their Goose Island wings it will be everywhere.

It is over-hyped, just like any other 'hot' release. Wait for two weeks, it'll be something else to whip the trading market into a froth-tinged tizzy.

But everyplace isn't Florida. Minnesota got an stupidly low amount of BCS & variants, to the point that it looks like only a few stores got the Rye - & many stores only received three bottles. Happy you can still find coffee & rye in multiple places, but it appears that is the exception rather than the rule with BCS this mad season.

This makes no sense. if you are saying something is FUCKING AMAZING but you dont see what the hype is about? The hype is there because as you say. Its Fucking amazing. The variants sold out in Philly almost instantly at anywhere that is on the radar on black friday. And I have not seen a bottle of regular on the shelf since a couple of days after BF. Its not everywhere in my area either in fact good luck finding it.
