Tesco seems to be doing the 4 for £6 on ales (or 4 for £5.50 last week) as standard now, so what is your optimum combination based on what's available to you? I picked up a Youngs Double Chocolate Stout, a Hardcore IPA, a Fullers 1845 and a Fullers ESB and I'm more than happy. How have you done?

Not a bad selection, though I don't care much for the Hardcore IPA.

Been getting into the Adnams ales lately, so usually been picking them up. Though really enjoyed a London Pride Monday night, so hoping to maybe pick up one or 2 of them.

Usually when this offer is on I try so hard to pick up some untried beers but usually always come away with a McEwans Champion, a Hobgoblin, an ESB and then something else I've had many times before!

    Fight you!
Oh, what's the point. Can't see how anything in my local Tesco can match your impressive quartet. I think my purchase of Ossian, Williams Bros Good Times, Black Isle Red Kite and Tesco Finest American Double IPA is power sapplingly mundane in comparison.

I've just not seen anything great in Tesco to draw me in, however if someone gave me £6 and a lift to Tesco

    I would grab
Williams Bro's March of the Penguins
    Castle Rock's Elsie Mo
    St Peter's Red Ale and
    Coniston's Bluebird Bitter

I've given up with Tesco, it's further away and has a worse selection than my local bottleshop. I was in the mood for something light and refreshing today so I got Fyne Ales Jarl, Untapped Crystal Wheat Beer and Moor Beer Company Northern Star.

And out local Tesco's range is f*cking dire, nowt that you cant get in any corner shop even Asda's range of identikit golden bitters is better. The BIG Tescos across the Tyne has a canny range mind and Morrisons is alright but doesnt change much. Waitrose, well i only ever get there once in a blue moon. Booths FTW!

Although funnily enough I paid £6 for a 330ml bottle of Brooklyn East India Pale Ale
and a 330 bottle of Traquair House Ale. There was a bottle of Brewdog paradox jura for £8 and I was tempted but walked away without.

Just got back from Tesco with a London Pride, McEwans Champion, Youngs Double Choc Stout and an Adnams Broadside.

Also, though I'd let you know that my Tesco has now started stocking Sierra Nevada Torpedo. Never had it myself and it wasn't priced up on the shelf - but decided to get one anyway and it was £2.18, so bit pricey (hope it's nice!!)

I personally think that's a bit of a steal for Torpedo- I love the stuff! Might have to double-check my local just in case!

Really? I've never tried it personally, will crack it open later - looking forward to trying it.

My Tesco is pretty big, so not sure all Tesco's will stock it - oh and sorry for going off topic btw

It is cracking stuff, I was really miffed when my Waitrose stopped selling it.
I forked out £2.60 for the same size bottle of Brooklyn's East India Pale Ale so it isn't all that pricey.
