    Hey all,

For the sake of experimention, I was thinking about cellaring a bottle of Logsden Siezoen Bretta. I have drank this beer fresh on a several occasions and havent aged many brett beers so I want to give it a shot. For those of you who have aged this beer what can you tell me about aging the beer?

Do you have a certain age that you really enjoy this Logsden beer aged to?

In what ways does the beer change with time?

Do you prefer this beer fresh and think I am crazy to age it?

Open for to information and opinions about aging this beer! Thanks!

I can't answer most of those questions but I'm pretty sure you're not crazy to age it - reputable sources tell me it'll do well with 2-3 years on it (reputable being folks who make saison brett's). I haven't had one with more than 6 months on it so not sure what the particulars are, but I do have another one or two in the cellar for later

I've got an early-mid 2012 bottle that I'll be opening in the next few months. Haven't had this particular one aged very long before, but other brett saisons after a year were fantastic. Boulevard Saison Brett for example. not sure they get any 'better' but they do get funkier.

I believe my bottle gives me a 6 year window to drink.

based on my personal experience, i wouldn't age this one. not because of taste - i have had one with about 9 months of age and one with about 15 months of age, both tasted nice - but both were absolute gushers. i lost a good third of the bottle of the 15 month one upon opening.

I wouldn't worry about going 2 years on it, should transform nicely. Definitely head this advice above, though! Those bottles can gush like crazy. Be prepared.

Sounds like the brett really works hard in this beer!
