Odell IPA won GABF and WBC gold the same year. It got a fair amount of buzz at the time, but it only seems to be super well known out here in "Odell Country."

To me I think it'll forever be Keesmann Herren Pils. I think it's far and away the best pils on the planet by a pretty wide margin, but nobody outside of the German forums seems to have heard of it. I think it's that whole stigma where people think all beer from Bamberg is Rauchbier.

Totally seconding Smutty Robust Porter. Definitely a go to for me.

    Also:

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout - cheap and easy to get. Better than Old Rasputin IMHO.
Founders Curmedgeon - Satisfying every time, especially on tap. Better than the Ola Dubh's and much much cheaper.
Oskar Blues Old Chub - thick and wonderful. Also there are a bazillion on the shelves.

Flying dog BA gonzo ipm. Porter 4.15 rating I just like it better than that I guess.

I think new belgium's ranger IPA is very underrated. Its my second favorite SIPA, only behind Jia Alia and Ive had most of the big ones (sculpin, two hearted, etc)

Its still highly rated, but I feel like their is a negative feeling thords Old Rasputin. I love the brew a lot, but every now and again I hear someone with a feeling like it isn't a "real" Imperial stout, or that its somehow not "genuine" or that its not "the good stuff.

idk, just some of my experiences. For me that beer with vanilla ice cream is as good as it gets.

I'll roll with the Sixpoint note as well...

Sixpoint - Bengali Tiger is one of my favorites and right up there with several other APA's and IPA's.

Agree with this as well. One of the best straight up Pilsners out there IMO.

Full Sail IPA keeps me going, great brewery for reasonable prices. Ruthless Rye & Flipside both blew me away. The SN Celebration this year is sooo sessionable.

Smuttynose Old Brown Dog -> A very underrated beer IMO which also happens to fall into a very underrated beer style category as well.
