At least in Houston, you should on this one. I saw bottles of 007 at Specs downtown and an HEB I think within the last week and a half and 008 seems to have even less hype.

Had 008 last night. Pretty meh. I didn't get much barrel at all. Tasted like a slightly off Yule. Bit more barrel when it was warmer (like last sip) but still not much. Got two -drank one, one for the set. Probably won't grab another.

My wife picked me up a bottle of 008 from the Shell Station in Friendswood last night. Don't know how much he got or how much is left though, sorry.

Walked up on multiple cases at two different spots in Beaumont. I thought it was great. I got way more barrel from it than 006 and 007. Really glad I picked up more than one.

Way more barrel than 007? I haven't had 008 yet but I thought 007 had a really strong bourbon taste.

Went ahead and opened one last night. Maybe there is bottle variance? To me, it seemed tamer than last years batch. More like Yule, much less barrel. A little disappointed but looking forward to see what happens with some time.

I really didn't get that much from it out of the bottle. I did get a lot more from 007 when I had it on tap though. But 008 (to me anyways) really had a nice bourbon bite to it. I thought it really complimented the spices in the beer.

Umm what? Did you happen to accidentally spill some makers in there when you poured it?

Had it on draft on Sunday at the BB was hardly noticeable. Good holiday beer but didn't love it like the rest of the FUN series. WANT RETURN OF BODACIOUS

I guess I need to open another and see if maybe I was just liquored up or something when I had it last night. I can't believe I'm the only one. I feel like Steve Zissou

I can still walk in several places and pick up any 007 or 008 easily

Where have you been seeing 007? I've seen quite a bit of 008 wherever I go. I found a restaurant last night selling 007. I asked, "How much?" They said, "$20 each." I laughed and should have just walked out.

That's really not a bad markup for on premise consumption. It's pretty much $15 at Specs, compared to Hopadillo which is under $2 a can and sells for what, $5ish at bars?

Edit: assuming that was a bomber of 007, not a glass

It was a bomber and you could take it home. I guess my limit is $20.
