    The problem is he's in Florida. If it arrives in one piece, a group of us have 2.5 cases of the 3 12 ounce formats coming from a friend who was visiting family down there. Cases just sitting around. In Philly and a little north it was gone instantly.

    Ok I was saying the Barleywine was amazing, does that mean I am going to buy 10 cases. No, it means its damn good. The issue is these variants are being hyped like they are 10bbl batches not 10,000bbl or larger batches. There is alot out there. Thats what my point was.

    there is a ton of Barleywine and base BCBS but not a ton of the others, which is what most of the hype is around
    From one source:

    plain BCBS = at least 1,400 barrels
    Barleywine = 600 whiskey barrels
    Coffee = 230 barrels
    Backyard Rye = about 200 barrels (roughly the same number as Cherry Rye or Vanilla BCBS in years past)
    Proprieters = 88 barrels

    This is true. And given the fact that it has to last us all year, lots of people wanting the bourbon county goodness. BCBS and Barleywine aren't trading for anything crazy. Coffee and Backyard are just trading for what they should, smaller batch highly rated beer, and Proprietors is the one that is getting a lot of attention and some people are creating a monster out of it with their ridiculous offers.

    The thing is the brewers said it themselves, the Coconut should be drank as SOON as possible. The fatty acids or lipids (or whatever the oils are called that coconut contains) are breaking down and will surely not last long. So anyone trading for Proprietors a year from now and putting crazy good stuff on the table for it will be the dumbest wits on the trading forums. That is unless they are going to put the beer on a pedestal next to their trophy chest and admire it for the rest of their lives.

    And thank you UPS for not sending us the case of BCBS and half a case of barleywine after you damaged the box that was packed incredibly well. At least the case of coffee showed up. This is why I ship FedEx. $100 for 6 coffees, yes please. GI just send more where it's needed lol.

    Does this mean I can get 88 proprietors for my DBD? Barrel for barrel?

    Nice to know the info. Can't believe coffee is so low. Barleywine was the hardest for me to find.

    I also saw those offers, and one person confirmed that they traded their Rare for 3 Prop's so it has been done.
