This doesn't bode well for Milwaukee, but maybe I'm just overly pessimistic. From what I've been told, Beechwood is really the only distributor in Milwaukee with their shit together, but they probably wanted a bigger distribution area than just Milwaukee/Waukesha since they do distribute statewide. Beer Capitol might be big enough to handle DFH, but I don't think they do their breweries justice, and I've heard similar comments from retailers and other distributors. Aside from that, you have a handful of small distributors that probably couldn't handle DFH's volume.

Again, maybe I'm being overly pessimistic.

Anyone remember who distributed DFH in Milwaukee last time around?

Think there was a falling out between Beechwood's Parent Co. which has something like 14 (?) distributors and DFH. Otherwise why wouldn't they go with a Distributor that could service the whole state at once?

The parent company is called L. Knife and Son, but I think everything is branded under "GreatBrewers". Looks like they have closer to 20 distributors that they own. They are the reason we have Alesmith in WI (Alesmith had a deal with the GreatBrewers distributor in So Cal, so why not).

If your falling out comment is true, then we just have to hope that DFH will go with Beer Capitol knowing that they will get lackluster service from their distributor (again, based on what I've heard from people in the industry), or that they will make a go of it with one of the smaller guys like General Beer.

Went to the Bodega in La Crosse and had some at their welcome back Dogfish Head night. Thought the Burton Baton was excellent. 90 minute was really good as always, Indian Brown Ale good, Palo Santo was a little to boozy for me. Midas Touch was pretty interesting. The Witbier isn't my thing.

Figured I'd ask here instead of creating a thread. Anyone in Madison know where I can still buy a couple 4pks of Palo Santo Maron? I haven't looked that hard, but it seems to be drying up.

Immort should be dropping this week. Pretty excited since I've only had sips from other people.

I heard Beechwood settled their contract with Dogfish Head, so we should be getting DFH in SE-WI soon!!!

This is exactly what I hope Palo Santo Maron does, sit on shelves. I need to buy it after about a year, and then age it another year.

Shouldn't be too long before Aprihop hits shelves. I didn't think I'd be so excited to drink a bunch of beers I've already had. Years ago, but still.
