This thread has served to remind me that I haven't even CONSIDERED visiting RFD in about 2 years. Its not on my radar at all, apparently. Even if stuck in Chinatown, I'd much rather go to Iron Horse or Passenger.

If you are in north Dupont Circle, one of my 'sneaky good' craft spots is Glen's Garden Market (19th & S) Its a grocery store, but has small bar area carved out. They have 8 taps, all local, and drafts are ALWAYS $4.00. Good food, too. Last night I had a glass of Mad Elf for $4 on my way home from class.

I guess I'm one of the few who is happy you can't smoke in bars in DC/MD anymore.

I would have a cigar every month or so over a really good beer or good bourbon, and I don't care for the law change even though it had almost no effect on me.

If you were, my guess is that the law probably never would have changed. Most people I know, even those who smoke on occasion, are very happy for the change in the law.

Holy crap, that's serious insider info. Never even heard of the place and I get up to DC pretty frequently. Thanks!
