Goose Island NJ Distribution Question

Any other reportings around NNJ? I've checked my local places and no one has gotten any varients in yet. Hoping it is any day now.

 

To be honest, if they didn't get it this week they may not be at all. This week was the week.

 

I picked up some coffee and backyard rye at a few places in north nj. I haven't seen any barleywine tho...has that hit yet? Why is nnj's distro. So screwed up and unorganized?

 

As of 11am this morning couldnt find a single store vith variants in Holmdel, Middletown or Red Bank. Its such bullshit that this beer is so hard to find this year. Really aggravating.

 

Apparently hasn't been released yet. Next week maybe, they really screwed this up big time.

 

BCBCS and Backyard in Hoboken. Barley wine in January due to some paperwork issue.

 

Anything in Mercer or Hunterdon counties yet?

 

Those are the areas I called around to yesterday and had no luck. It's very frustrating.

 

Only confirmed in Essex so far. Couple places have/had them so far and extremely limited at that (1 case of each per store it seems)

 

Goose Island should just start a Reserve Society like the Bruery does... I'd pay a few hundred bucks for guranteed bottles, discounts on purchases, limited releases and not having to deal with this fucking nonsense lol.

 

My buddy in Mercer hasnt heard of anything either as of lunchtime today.

 

It may not be too widespread yet fellas and ladies. I didn't see any go out to one of the biggest craft accounts in the area in Ocean County, so I'm assuming Goose Island said to wait a bit longer, or is still deciding where to allocate things until after most BCBS is bought up.

Sorry to get everyone amped up early, but I assumed it would go out like normal releases (about a week after its delivered to wholesalers).

In other news, both the Buy Rite in Silverton on Hooper Avenue, and The Super Buy Rite in Toms River on Route 9 have 4 packs on the shelf of BCBS! if you havent had a shot at it, check out these places! Call ahead and they'll hold it for ya, but they still have a good chunk left.

 

Just BCBS or is there any Coffee/Barleywine/Backyard? I'm glad you posted this, because I figured since I couldn't get there (too much work!) this week they would be out. Going to try to hit one of them tonight.

According to what the salesman told the beer guy in my local shop- they have it in the warehouse and are still working on figuring out the allocations. Maybe next week? UGH!

Talk about dropping the ball on this one...

 

Anything in the Red Bank/ Tinton Falls area? I know there are some bigger beer shops in that area.

 

Just picked up some from the one on 9... now I know why they were sitting, I pretty much had to bend over at the counter. They had at least 5 other four packs on the shelf/in the fridge. They had the best Goose Island selection I've seen in NJ, so if that's what you're looking for, they're a good choice in Ocean County. Now I just gotta see if I can get the wife to sign off on the other variants when they hit...

 

ya i mean, its above the average price, but its there! they have a decent GI selection, but compared to Spirits Unlimited Crossroads, they are beatable. one of the better stores in the area though

I almost didn't even realize Crossroads had Goose Island... there is so much good stuff there. Though I haven't stopped by since before black Friday. I just wish the Joe Canals in Brick was as good as the one in Lawrenceville or EHT.

 

ya, they have a decent selection, some Brooklyn black ops there. every once in a while youll find a treat.
