Man I really hate when places announce in advance when they're getting it. I understand they wanna sell it quickly but sometimes these lines are ridiculous and not everyone has the flexibility to stand in line for 3 hours in the middle of the day. And I live in LA. I can't imagine what it's like for those willing to stand in line in the rain or snow. Can't they just announce it the minute they start selling?

I heard that WF Tustin was releasing BS, BW, and Coffee today, from the source, about 2 weeks ago. I was looking forward to getting some Coffee and even prepared my meetings around going. Then it got posted at ~9:15am right before meeting with my boss and it was sold out before I got out.

Anyway, there's no perfect situation

I don't mind waiting in line if the result is getting enough of something that waiting in future lines is no longer needed. However, if the reward is one measly bottle, count me out. More for you guys...

yeah if we could wait in line for a 4pack of each, i'd do it and be happy. but just ONE bottle? i understand they may not have more than one case but still...

Managed to snag a 4-pack of each, but all on different days at different locations. Actually drove out to Livermore (Perry's) after someone mentioned them getting a shipment in this thread and snagged a coffee, though they were out of barleywine (and even the coffee she had to bring out from the back, seemed kind of hush hush, ask only). Regular was found at BevMo (Emeryville) last week, and barleywine I finally managed earlier this week in Berkeley, though it's gone by now.

I don't know that any place in the Oakland/Berkeley/etc. East Bay area actually received any coffee. Apparently the distributors barely had any to give out.

All but Coffee hit Sac that I know of. Got myself a couple 4 packs of that regular stuff, one of the wine one, and having my homeboy pick me up a bottle of that there one with the fruits.

I was lucky with Coffee and picked some up from the BevMo in San Bruno (live in South City) based on a tip from a friend last week. Also made the drive out the Perry's to get a pack of Barleywine late last week as well (I work in Dublin). BCBCS hadn't impressed me much the previous two years that I've tried (2012 and 2010), but this year's tastes really good if you like big espresso flavors. The barleywine is also very good, though not as big a bourbon component as fresh King Henry had.

I'm pretty sure Santa Cruz got shut out of all the variants. I managed to pick up some reg, but I was really hoping to get some coffee too. Maybe next year.

The only place I have found variants was in Santa Cruz. Capitola BevMo had the Barleywine and Verutti's had regular, barleywine and coffee. It sat at the Verutti's in the valley for over a week.

Just dump a shot of coffee in there. Coffee adjuncts are so stupid.

I'm a big fan of coffee, and this years version of BCBCS blew me away. I doubt even brewing the best cup of coffee and pouring a shot in it would compare.

Verutti's on 41st? Never been there, I'm still pretty new to the area. I'll have to check it out.

The one on 41st only had the regular left when I went last weekend, but their Felton store had barleywine and the Ben Lomond store had coffee (neither store has coffee or barleywine now).

That's pretty much what coffee beers are. Coffee, usually cold-brewed, is added as an adjunct either at flame-out or at bottling. I don't think coffee beers are stupid, just that the hysteria around obtaining this particular coffee beer is. I mean, you already have the base beer. Just get some choice beans from Intelligentsia, Stumptown, Blue Bottle, etc., cold brew a concentrate, and experiment with the blend. You'll get an even fresher tasting coffee component that way.

Thanks for the tip man! Stopped by today on my way to work and snagged the last two barleywines and a couple regulars, which they still have plenty of
