Late Night Beer Advocate - Friday

could have swore i posted this, but i guess i messed up.

anyway, in light of another BA's (whose name i forget) recommendation a few weeks ago, i'm trying out some stoudts tonight. i've been craving some lighter german styles, and now that the weather's warmed up again, it's a nice night for a kolsch.

starting with karnival kolsch, then probably onto golden lager and the ESB. expectations not really high for the latter 2, but i'm probably pretty easy to please. (shrug)

 

I've had (shared with another) Deviat Dale, Backwoods Bastard, Double Simcoe IPA, Weyerbacher Blanche, Citra Pale ale, Kuhlbacher Eisbock and Pere Jacques. Diving into a Festina Peche now.

 

Just had a dieu du ciel herbe a détourne but that's it for tonight unfortunately

 

Just home from work and a long one today. 2X SNPA and half way into a Heady Topper. How bout them Celtics. Maybe the Sox can finish this in a similar fashion.

Tonight I had a 2012 DL and a 2012 KBS. The KBS at this point is far superior -- have to give the DL at least a year to catch up.

the 09 is still drinking great. similar to what i remember it drinking like a few months back, the flavors are still spot on. see my review for the details...

 

WOW! I guess I was reported by other users that this was more important than my own personal thread. It's amazing that this is as important as Star Wars to others...you know who you are...
