It's Saturday and I don't see the weekend brewing thread. I will not be brewing either. But someone must be...

Bottling BA APA IPA and transferring a dry-hopped Saison to keg for conditioning . . . but the brew kettle is cold this weekend.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing yesterday.

My mother in law arrives in a week, for a week. I am seriously considering throwing 18-20# of malt in the tun for a barleywine while she is here:grimacing:.

Wow. I'm sure that will school you big points with her! I hope there is a grandkid or a shopping trip to occupy her time. Or maybe she would like to be your honorary asst. brew-master - stir the mash tun, add the hops....

Make (Let)her grind the malt by hand so she'll get a feel for the true joy of brewing. No brewing for me anytime soon either. No homebrew for now, I'm in Alabama at my parent's house for a while.

I'm getting ready to bottle my dubbel, and if I am ambitious, I may brew up a irish red ale tomorrow.

No brewing for me until Jan now. But I will be sampling a triple and an RIS today that should be carbed by now. I'm pumped about that.

No brewing this weekend. The krausen on my Leffe Brune from last weekend is starting to fall. Got 3 kegs yesterday that were still dirty: the dunklewiesse keg smelled like dirty feet, and the bitter was straight nail polish remover. Got them cleaned, sanitized, purged, and sealed up for storage. Also wax dipped a few bottles and labeled them. Our club Christmas Party is tonight.

Well, I'm an outdoor brewer and it was minus 7F when I woke up; winter storm warning for tomorrow...

Bottling the Mangrove Jack's Belgian ale tester saison. 80% GP 20% Dark wheat, crystal hops. OG 1.054. I'd like to brew, but new job and old job are overlapping, and I still have to do some xmas shopping.

None for me also. Second week in a row delayed by the weather. Forecast is calling for 50's next weekend. Just trying to get one more brew day in before the end of the year. It feels weird not having anything in the fermentation chamber right now. I do have around 10 cases of beer that needs to be attended to so that should keep me busy.

No brewing here. Need to make a stop at the store to get a recipe together, but haven't had the urge or the time to do it to brew something before the end of the year.

Got a big scotch ale in primary letting it sit around, got a chocolate BA stout that I need to keg, and some cider thats just sitting around.

I've got a couple pounds of leaf and pellet hops I need to crack open and seal up in smaller bags, but not really interested in that at all.

Congrats on the next kiddo John. When my twins showed up, it took me roughly 7-8 weeks before I was able to fire up the kettle again. Now when I brew, I have to do a double brew in one day, or split it up through the weekend and keep it all out on the porch. Don't know when I'll have time to do it again, so two batches when it permits!

No brewing. Shoveling and sledding with the kids today, and maybe going out to a movie with the whole family if the roads are clear enough tonight.

I did work in a visit to a new microbrewery in town last night with a couple of friends. Their "smoked Belgian" ale was the most interesting, recipe-wise, and their stout was the best-executed of what I sampled.
