More low abv hoppy pales like Edward. High flavor and sessionable is the natural rebellion from slow sipping high abv progression we've been trending.

I predict that Dogfish Head will make an IPA that's infused with Sam Caglione's farts and burps after he ate a 12 egg hop-omelet and drank a 4 pack of 90 minute.

Man, I feel for you, you get anywhere outside of OKC or Tulsa and the only thing liquor shops sell is whiskey, bourbon and cheap ass beer that's >3.2% that college kids buy because they've heard the name 100x or more (i.e. PBR, Mustang Washita Wheat, Choc 1919, etc.). Here's to hoping we start getting more out of state craft beers in Oklahoma in the near future.

I think we'll see a few breweries go down the tubes even w/ all the new ones opening. Hopefully all the new canned brews won't be super expensive - 4/pks vs. 6pks could have some backlash. My family works pretty hard so we can't really spend the kind of money on bottles that others may, but we still want access to amazing beer. Hopefully there will be growth without effecting the quality or availability.

I predict that someone will start a thread on BA about "What is the best _____" or "List your favorite _____" or "Name your top 5 _____".

I'm just being facetious. Those threads would never happen a million times here.... a day. :astonished:

People will somehow continue to be amazed by overly hoppy beer.

-The craft beer scene as a whole will become more elitist and the douchbaggery will be stepped up to a whole new level.
-Prices will get even higher, while quality does not improve.
-The malt profile of american pales will continue to deteriorate leaving us with shelves full of hollow, thin, 'light IPAs".

LOL. I laugh but I predict someone will open a mega store of beer only and sell every beer made in the world in one place. Then I wake up. ;.)

later in that dream nothing is ever out of stock.....

More sellouts. And not just the Red Hooks and Widmers of the world, but innovative regional breweries that people actually care about. Like Boulevard.

BMC will be forced to counter their shrinking market share with strategic acquisitions of profitable craft breweries with strong followings. Will it be Founders? DFH? New Belgium?

I predict that Goose island will distribute worldwide next year and make half as much BCBS as they did this year.

Two good points. However, with the Duvel buy of Boulevard I'm not sure this will happen, or will totally happen.
As for the Founders/DFH.... not a chance. New Belgium? I could see it.

Only if she knows. I try to do my buying with cash, so there is less of a paper trail.
