I thought I liked pumpkin beers but the more I tried this year the less I liked them. Still very much enjoy Elysian The Great Pumpkin, but I hated Pumking. Actually preferred Warlock to it by a wide margin.

I may have crossed styles. I immediatly thought of Samichlaus and then discovered it was a doppelbock. Those can be hit or miss but that Sami is repulsive and I always thought it was a Rauch. Really though I've only had a couple Rauchs, they don't make them boozy? Maybe they should then. Might be better with that excessive smoke. As always thanks for the correction BA

Even then, Samichlaus is definitely not a typical doppelbock. At least not anymore than World Wide Stout is a typical imperial stout. But either way I used to hate Rauchbiers but then I tried some more and now I enjoy them.

My buddy homebrewed a "Rauch n Rye" that was pretty impressive actually, but I imagine it'sa lot of trial and error. Very easy to get carried away with a recipe with that syle.

Took a long time for me start liking them. If I wasn't such a ticker, I probably still wouldn't lik'em...

Other then Pumpkin and Lambics, (which I have a fondess for) most fruit flavored beers brewed on the shores of the USA. Ugh!

Chicha. My sister drank some when she went on a mission trip to Ecuador (they used the malting method, not mastication, to produce theirs). Honestly, I'm open to anything, and have even considered making a small sample of my own chicha.

Totally agree there. APAs < IPAs < DIPAs for sure. I actually like some DIPAs even though I'm not a hop head, but APAs and IPAs are way too hop forward and I find most of them too unbalanced.

I've heard a lot of Brown Ale mentioned here, but I think in general, there are always exceptional beers in each style. While I'll never reach for a brown ale, I think DFH Palo Santo Marron is one of the best beers I've ever had.

Anyway, my favorite ale styles are Imperias Stouts and Wild Ales, and my least favorite are APAs and Ambers.

I'm not a big fan of lower-alcohol, lighter-malt (in terms of color) German lagers. I do however really like Doppelbocks. I really am not a big fan of brown ales, either, though I do love me some Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale.

I can enjoy almost any style done well. Pumpkin beers are the major exception. Black saisons and traditional hefe weizens are styles I don't love.

Im not a fan of any "session" ales really. a milder/lighter flavored beer that i can drink all day isnt my style. many session ales are quality, so id like to say im a robust flavor over quantity kind of drinker.
