    Same here. :-)

I'm hoping that KBE gets an insane amount of kegs of this again this year too (or was I the only one drinking it last year when they had it on non-stop in Jan/Feb?).

Just had my first bottle of the year and not detecting any significant changes from past batches. I'm getting a ton of mocha flavor that's resonating afterwards. Very pleasant.

For the record, this was stunning. Had one today unintentionally sandwiched between a couple of big BA stouts and it held up just fine. Full of coffee and chocolate. Nice work, guys.

Pretty good. Big coffee flavor but the artificial non-dairy creamer flavor makes this beer a one-and-done. Just one, then on to something else.

Been drinking it for many years now and this is exactly how I remember it year after year. Hard to say if the flavor profile has changed at all as I have to wait about 10 months between each batch and sure wouldn't want to try and drink a last year's batch for comparison.

This beer has always been nothing less than amazing and the flavors come together so well I just always find myself giving a sigh of relief for the first one poured each year. For me this is my most sought after beer year after year so please never stop brewing it.

I preface this by saying I am indeed a Shorts fanboy... but a slightly frustrated one!

My only opinion is - make more and make it more often. It has been a pain to get more than a 6 pack or so. Kinda frustrating that we had to vote this in the rotation for next year too.

I really appreciate the variety that Shorts puts out, but I get kind of frustrated that there's such a limited amount of things like Cup A Joe and Prolonged Enjoyment.... these are beers that leave you wanting to buy more and they all fly off the shelf extremely fast around here.

I long for the day where I can drink Prolonged all summer. Perfect Michigan summer beer that puts things like All Day IPA to shame.... but I gotta buy All Day because that is what's available.

I think it's great, one of my favorite Shorts offerings (ESP for a stout). Coffee in yo face!

I have to admit, a lot of Shorts offerings disappoint me...BUT this was a really great beer!!!

Really? Maybe if they sold it in 12pk cans at Meijers on sale for $14.49? No, not really for me, personally. I have a tough time paying $10/6pk for an "OK" session ale when Founders has perfected it at a better price point. Seriously though, if Cerveza De Julie were available all summer I would drink a lot of it. Like Cup A Joe, Bludgeon Yer Eye, and (fresh) Controversius Maximus, Cerveza De Julie is really a best in class type of beer.

Quick unrelated question: how come you guys release super summery IPAs really early in the year? Does Freedom's timing correlate to guava season or something? I'd love for Freedom and Hopstache to come out in the summer (well, if they can't be year-round at least :-)).

I do not believe it has anything to do with the Guava season, but can check upon it. The ones that are being released during summer are even more "summer" brews, in my opinion. I actually feel Freedom and Hopstache will be excellent for early Springtime-and if you really have some restarint, just throw some in the back of your fridge and wait for June-the beer will still be tasting just fine.
