Huh....I always thought these were easy to get? They aren't that great anyway. I usually pass them up.

Not year-round but love Oude Tart, SitR and Odell's Friek. All usually sit on the shelves for months so I kind of classify them as more "seasonal" sours.

Is it a big change from the Grand Cru? I saw this a t a local shop, but wasn't sure it was worth double the price of Grand Cru.

I can pretty much buy Russian River Consecration at will. So, yeah. That.

Being a stone throw away from Cantillon... I'm going to say Cantillon.

I have a ton of Cantillon that I have been holding on to because I don't care for it that much. Ill probably just trade it for some IPAs.

Here in the States, most places, Cantillon is about as hard to find as Unicorn poop. Sometimes places will get some in, it'll be a case or 2 at a time, and gone as soon as they let it be known it's in. A far cry from a few years ago when it would sit on shelves forever.

I second the Lindeman's Cuvee Renee, Tilquin gueuze and Duchesse de Bourgogne. Now I want to drink one. :stuck_out_tongue:

How is it not a sour??

By far the most tart/sour offering from Petrus. Duchesse is a vinegary mess IMHO. The aged pale is defined as a lighter bodied version of the oude bruin.

Likewise. If I want beer to go, then RR.

But usually I prefer to drink in a bar, so then I go for Jolly Pumpkin.
