    The "off" flavor is the rarity leaving the bottle after you open it.

    BA donut bottle I had tonight wasn't infected at all. Really, really sweet. Quite a bit heavier in body than the non BA version I had on draft.

    All in all, glad I tried it, not heartbroken I only had 1.

    Had the 3 legs tonight & it was good...no infection & tasted mapley when cold & more bourbony when it warmed

    I just had a 3 Pairs of Legs and a BBA Shipwreck Porter back to back and I think I actually enjoyed the 3 Legs better. I felt like it got sweeter as it warmed but had a lot of bourbon right on through. What a steal at $15 for a 4 pack.

    I'm really not looking forward to more buttered popcorn jelly beans. God damn, it was weird. I really hope more people got extras of WtWTA because I want to hear if there are more butter bottles out there. I guess I could always make a sauce out of it with extra butter and put it on popcorn. :rolling_eyes:

    Are the people talking about BBA Donut not being off speaking from the bottle experience, or the draft they had at the party? The draft was 100% ABSOLUTELY full of Acetaldehyde. Green apples on the nose, green apples on the taste. If there is a chance that the bottled version isn't a mess, that would be very exciting.

    ok, so who's more punk rock ? FFF or dark horse ? I've been to both locations and personally, I think it's dark horse and it's not even close.

    Can the mods just change the title to " 2012/2013/2014/2015/2016/etc. 4 Elf beers with off flavors" ? That way we won't have to make new threads every year.

    It may be a fun little joke for those "in the know," but Dark Horse has already had to answer questions about this on Facebook, which I'm sure also means they've had phone calls about it. Why make more work for Dark Horse after they put on a great event and clearly invested time in planning things to be as enjoyable for us as guests?

    Actually it makes a helluva lot more sense that they ran out of BRONZE wax and they had to use silver when they ran out...otherwise the new packaging doesnt make sense...the new labels with the bronze wax looks sweet as hell! And they can handle this shit bro...they deal with it all the time...comes with the territory...your sentiment is spot on though...
