Love FIS one of my all time favorites. One place in my hometown still has last years batch sitting in the beer cave. I am pretty tempted to pick some of the old stock up because it ages so well, but I also want to get the newer batch...decisions, decisions.

Any place you saw here in Chicago/NW Burbs MCain? Looked on BeerMenus and they said some place in Elmhurst had it, don't mind the 30 mins drive, but would prefer some place a little closer lol

It's a full-fledged Russian Imperial Stout, loaded with rummy, chocolatey, charred flavor goodness. Any coffee flavors in this are completely incidental.

Nah that's just from memory of last year, haven't seen it in town yet. I'd be shocked if it was more than $11.99 at Binny's.

Drank this and Stone RIS side by side a couple weeks ago...both at the top of the favorite non barrel imperial stout list but could pick one over the other. Think CCB Marshal Zurkhov's is my all time favorite though.

and I prefer FIS over FBS... FBS is great but gota be in the mood for a coffee bomb when I reach for it.

I'm a huge fan of FIS and I dare someone to find a better RIS for the dollar! Not even Chuck Norris can help with this one

This is the one beer I have been waiting for all year. The best RIS on God's green earth! Certainly hope to grab a case to sit on top of my FBS case in the cellar.

FIS is my personal #1 stout, rated 4.68 by me. Next comes Old Rasputin at 4.63 and FBS and Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout, both at 4.5. Howewer I have had Stone RIS and ERIS in the beer fridge for awhile waiting for a free evening for 22 ounces of 10.5 & 11% ABV. Not to mention Great Divide Oak Aged Yeti at 9.5, Alesmith Speedway at 12% and Lagunitas IS and CS at 9.9 and 9.2. Was holding off on them until it got really wintry out. Hope I get all these down before the new FIS comes out.

Only had one bottle at a bar this year so definitely getting 2 four packs at least this next year.
