Almost always a glass (99.5%), I do love drinking craft from a can, it happens very rarely I get hold of canned craft.
Rochefort 10 drinks pretty nice from the bottle, might have to start doing that.
I like the concept of drinking from a bottle, it pretty always a lesser experience.
I have drank Zwanze 2010 from the bottle which was fun if not only to see other people’s reactions.
(Story behind that one is either I left the bottle to be drainpoured or took it with me to catch the train. I chose to drink from the bottle, I still think that it is better to have done that than to get it drainpoured).

I know that I am never drinking from a styrofoam cup again. I tried that once, the beer foamed so much that I only got basically head. You couldn’t see the beer anyway, it was terrible. Way better to slug straight from the bottle. Frosted mugs don’t exist as a concept where I live, so never had to wonder.

Usually use a glass but I don't get snobby and refuse a beer if a glass isn't available.

I'll catch hell for saying this, especially to someone from Belgium, but sometime you should really pop a mug in the freezer for a while before having your beer. Just to see what it's like. Use a cheap beer for this, as if I don't include that caveat, I'll be ostrosized from this community.

    So then you'd like a glass . . . put it in a glass . . . I have extra glasses.

Why do you like the way a bottle of beer feels in your hand?

Well, in my opinion and experience, certain beers are better suited for certain vessels, and brewers have a vision of their ideal method of consumption - certain glasses, certain temperatures, etc. - to best represent the flavors, aromas, and feel of their product.
If The Alchemist feels that their beer's character is best experienced via direct-from-can consumption, why would I disregard the brewer's recommendation for enjoying their beer?
I wanna experience the beer the way it was intended to be experienced, at least initially.

Yes. I even have beer glass caches all over so I'm never without the appropriate glassware. Exception -HT (sometimes)

When I'm at home, almost always.

When I'm at someone else's place, not always.

Always even if it's BMC at a BBQ and a red solo cup.

Not if I'm at a party. In that situation it's easier to just drink from the bottle/can. If I'm drinking a few at home, yes I normally use a glass.

I will be sure to take your advice next time I am trying a pale lager. I am curious after all.
Even if I do this with a good beer, there should be no issue, you can always let a beer that is too cold get warmer. A too warm beer is a bigger issue.

A pint or nonic glass is how you'll drink a beer at my place, crazy straw optional of course.

I'll give you a pass on not knowing that Knee Deep Brewing is from California and that avatar is from one of their most popular beers.

I'm all for people drinking their beer however they want. However, if we can all agree that taste is largely infuenced by smell, then it's inarguable that by drinking from a bottle or can, one is losing a significant percentage of the experience of tasting a beverage. I will occasionally drink from a bottle in a social setting, especially if it's a beer I've had before or a beer I'm not crazy about, but anything I drink in the comfort of my home is poured into a glass.

Kiddo? YAY, I'm a kid again but don't feel like one, I'm probably older than you, and the "cartoon" avatar is a DIPA label (you shouldn't assume anything, you know the old saying..). Is that your girlfriend in your avatar? HA! Just j/k my man, we're allowed to joke and smile once in a while in CA without being taxed for it! Peace! BTW, what is the weight of that cat, it's huge!
