IMO its hard to say Mexican Cake is underrated based on its BA score and how it was being traded earlier in the year. That being said, I had MC on tap last night and while I still think it was a solid "spiced stout," it actually did not live up to my expectations. I have a bottle of RW and JD I haven't opened yet, but I am definitely looking forward to those.

Bomb by far! Huna was great as well though. I was not a fan of Abraxas or Mexican Cake. (Only had regulars though)

Seems like people like Bomb! and Huna the most.

Having had Cake and Decicco's IBB, I do love the style. Traded for Bomb!, will seek out Huna soon.

Bomb and cake were very good. BA huna and BA abraxas were unbelievable.

Regular Huna and abraxas were a disappointment after trying the ones above.

BA Abraxas in a landslide, followed by Huna. Mexican Cake is pretty good but in my mind a clear step below.

Did a chipotle-infused Black Tuesday recently that was pretty good, cleaned up that ridiculous mess and gave it an interesting touch.

    In this order for me.

    1. Hunahpu
    2. Brandy Hunahpu
    3. Grande Negro Voodoo Papi
    4. Wine Mex. Cake
    5. Abraxas
    6. Pirate Bomb
    7. Mexican Cake
    8. Bomb
    9. Luchador En Fuego

I haven't had the AB or JD Mexican Cake, or BA Abraxas. We've reviewed all but the Wine Mexican Cake and the Abraxas on our youtube channel. Cheers guys!

All of the above + PW EoD and Copper Kettle Mexi Chocolate stout is a tasty number.

I've had none of the brews mentioned in this thread, but I have had DFH Bitches Brew. Not sure if that counts based on the standards of this conversation, but that brew was delicious.

I enjoy them all, but Mexican cake is the only one that I can comfortably consume the entire 22 oz bottle.

BOMB! is my personal favorite of the style, and one of my absolutely favorite beers to drink period. I've had at least 10 or so this year. Of the ones I've had however I'd say it goes Huna > BOMB! > Abraxas > Mexican Cake with MC being a very distant last. I don't get the hype on Mexi Cake.

Bomb and Pirate Bomb take the top 2 spots for me. Prairie's offerings are followed up by Abraxas in a very distant 3rd place and a few others well behind Abraxas.

I know I am like a broken record, but this is truly one of my favorite stouts of all time and I one I enjoy anytime!

Of these, I have only had abraxas but I ended up buying several. On the lookout for bomb, MC, and huna when I get back off a self imposed trading hiatus.

I did make "mexican cupcakes w/ apple brandy frosting" inspired by Westbrook. I loved them, all but a few thought they were "way too spicy" and/or thought I was tying to be a funny guy.

I put abraxas slightly above bomb just because the mouthfeel is so creamy.
