Interesting timing on the Cascade pricing comments. Was at 16 tons last night, and it appeared they had just gotten in a very large shipment of Cascade stuff. They had just gotten in the new blueberry, vlad and sang noir bottlings (label indicated the 2012 project), and they even had a display on the floor, there was so much of the sang noir.

16 tons has always carried Cascade stuff in the past, but at present they have 7 different bottlings on the shelf. This is by far and away the most Cascade stuff I have ever seen before at 16 tons, and the price has dropped as well. In the past, their prices were always a couple of bucks higher than what you'd pay at the Barrel House, but now everything is right in line with barrel house pricing.

The thought crossed my mind that there might be some correlation between the sudden influx of Cascade stuff here in Eugene, and Cascade's increasing inability to sell bottles on-line and at the barrel house.

We're seeing the same thing in Seattle.

I keep remembering a time when Apricot, Kriek, etc. were $15/bottle and specialties like The Vine, Cuvee de Jongleur, etc. were $18-$20. At those prices I would buy Cascade all day long. Now when Apricot is around $20 and specialties are generally $30 before tax it just absolutely destroys any desire I have to purchase them in any way outside an occasional draft.

Just saw on their FB . No online sales YET. So maybe it will happen down the road.

    From the Twitter:

Bourbonic Plague 2011 and Blueberry 2013 on sale online Thursday, 1/9 at 4:30 PM (PST)

I assume we should see more vintage bottles hitting their online store throughout the year from time to time as their supply continues to pile up with the lack of brewery-only sales already alluded to in this thread.
