Those are the only three new ones supposed to be put on tap tonight.

Of course, they have over a dozen others on tap too including a new keg of DRIPA!

 

Dammit. I left too soon. Got my hands on some ode cherry from Eric. It was pretty darn good.

 

Hey what time are they open till Friday? I'll be down but not till 8 or so. Gotta be open till midnight i would think?

edit: I'm that guy, looked on the website . Says 2am.

 

I am pretty sure the brewpub is on normal hours. The tent will start pouring at 9 am on Saturday.

 

Hows the Raw Barleywine?

 

I'd be curious to see how Forbidden compares to DRIPA. Pretty similar??

Hey for parking. There is a funeral home just south of the brewery on the east side of mound. Good place to park and close. Just a heads up if the lot is full.

 

They posted 4 lots for parking including the one you mentioned..

I have never been to a Kuhnhenn release, although I have been there enough and love their beers. I completely understand that this party is not all about just stocking up on bottles. With that said I have a family Xmas deal on Saturday and cannot hang out too long or too late into the day. I would also be making the trek alone and have to drive to the other side of the state so I cannot indulge too much.

I am only looking to grab a few bottles, nowhere near my limit, have a pint or two and hang out with some cool people for an hour or two.

My question to those that have been is knowing I can only stay for a limited amount of time will I even have a shot at grabbing bottles? I have heard it takes awhile. Again I know its not all about that, but if I am going to make the drive over and then all the way to the other side of the state, when I hardly even have time to do so, I would like to come out with a few bottles.

Also I heard something about a release on Friday night. I appreciate any help. Feel free to BM me if you do not want to post any "top secret insider info". Really though guys thanks for any help. Wish I could stay all day. Maybe next year.

 

There's no top secret info. Everything that you can count on (for the most part) is posted on Kuhnhenns FB page. That is your best info.

 

Right, Thanks man. I was just wondering from peoples past experience if I could possibly get a number and buy bottles in two or maybe 3 hours max. Like many I went to the 4elf and obviously it would be impossible to do that there. I know this isn't anything like that, but still wondered what kind of timeframe I was looking at approximately.....

I would just go Sunday or next week, but I will be out of town for the Holidays until the 5th. I was joking about the secret info, but know some may not want to post to keep the hype train from speeding up.

That's pretty reasonable to expect to be in and out in 3 hours. Worst case, hit me up and I'll buy your bottles for you if you have to leave, and figure out how to get them to you later.

I don't think you can know for sure until you get there. No one will know until it the day of. You can't base it on last year because they are changing how it is done. If you can't afford to come over and walk away with no bottles, I would recommend not coming, especially if you have a small time window.

 

Totally, got two of them filled yesterday.

 

I hate to do this, especially so close to the event, but I'll give it a shot.

Is there any chance someone could hook me up with a ride (there and back) from Kalamazoo or needs a ride? Don't want to make the drive alone. I could drive (up to two people) or pitch in gas money/beers. BM me if possible.
