lol, i went in to whip in to get a growler fill of sputnik to take back to houston and sat down next to the austin founders rep who told me they were selling it there. totally passed it up lost among the boulevard and lagunitas regulars. $19.99. it's at specs brodie already according to him, dunno if they started selling yet. it's also at another place in austin..

It looks like this is very similar (or even the same as) to Nemesis 2009. Do you know if it is the same recipe or even inspired by it? Looking forward to trying it soon...maybe even side-by-side with Nemesis 2009!

I guess this would be pretty similar. However the difference being the heavy influence of wheat malts in the Sweet Repute.

I would venture to guess that it may be inspired by it. Our head brewer has been with us for almost 10 years so it's possible he wanted to revist the recipe. I'll try and find out!

Asking for opinions. Ola Dubh 30 will be available Monday in my area. $19 and some change. Has anyone had it before and would you buy it again?

 

Very few beers are worth $19/bottle and even fewer beers that are 12 ounces.

 

I've had the 1991 (or whatever year), and it wasn't worth it. It was really good and perhaps worth it to try it, but hey.

On the note of expensive bottles: 5 bottles of black ops sitting around at RR heb.
