when i see something i like a lot or think i will like a lot, such as backyard rye, i buy as much as i can....then i sell ac ouple to my buddies or trade. by the time i actually get the $$$ from my friends 1-2 weeks later, i am wanting another release. this happened with the cinnamon rolled wake n bake. i managed to pay for those with money my friend gave me for hooking him up with 2 backyards, as well as money i made tutoring one o fmy students.

I agree the past two months have been bad. you have GI, and founders coming to florida, and CCB releasing beers like life is like, Good gourd almighty in catador club, OH lindley park. it has been rough. but once january comes, im goign to save up money for hunahpu weekend b/c i know that will entail some cash to be spent.

    Yes. April.

When a conference for work in Philadelphia just happened to be the same week as the day Monks Café had Pliny the Younger on-tap.

Yeah, this year seemed a lot busier than previous years, with special releases, especially our local breweries. It's been hard to hold off on some of those beers. I hated having to put back the BCRBS, so I could get the COAST BA Blackbeerd, but it was worth it in my opinion. Now I'm trying to decide between Bozo and Imperial Doughnut Break.

Besides the normal amounts of drafts and hauling that come with having an office near an excellent store...

Traveling. I travel quite a bit and it is devastation every time. My wife is from Chicago. I need say no more than that, really, but, I also go to Asheville 3-4 times a year and Atlanta at least once a year (which of course involves passing through South Carolina), plus Bonnaroo in TN every year. Random trips to NY, MD and VA mixed in as well. As much money as I spend at my home store, I probably spend at least as much per year while traveling. Now my wife's trips to Europe are becoming yearly as well. Who got some snaps on the petro?

Only when I travel to an area with better distro than my own. Took a trip to Asheville this month. Put a huge dent in my wallet.

I love how you define the seasons by whether or not there is baseball. I too drink a lot of AALs during the season. Damn ballpark beer prices.

Wowza, my local shop has it for $9.99 a 4 pack and $55 a case. That's rough.

It only gets bad when I get the trading itch. I can usually walk out of my local shop once a week well under $100 with plenty to drink for the week+ with some ending up in the cellar.

I'd run around screaming like a little boy if it was $9.99 around me. It's usually between $13-$14 dollars for a 4 pack.

Stout season for sure, so right about now and in the next few months. Plus, now that Greenbush is releasing a bunch of specialty beers in bottles along with BCBS release and 4 Elf.
