Terrapin Cinnamon Roll’d Wake-n-Bake

Thats what I thought. WCMH had an awesome nose, and I enjoyed the better sweetness to it, but CR WnB was meh.

So how was the Southern Slice? I picked up a bottle yesterday along with Black Ash.

 

apparently i completely was oblivious to your sarcasm about the case thing.. but you did say you landed a case of the WCMH and WRWNB, so if it was available to purchase would you not have gotten a case of the 110K after you stated you had saved money for a case of both that and zhukov? once again, you still ended up with a case of each of these highly sought after bombers and got them in an area you dont even live in...what about those locals that may have wanted a bottle of this? you are pointing out how i am hoarding all the beer from locals (which there really arenta lot of them) and breaking the limit rule etc...but what is different about me getting multipels of a limited release and you getting multiples of the same beer??? I am not being sensitive about us having differing opinions, more just annoyed that you want to act like how i acquire beer or how much of a certain beer i have is wrong and what you do is right. I guess the bottom line is you get on here and want to start shit with people for no reason.
and about me hooking up people over the internet, i am doing it as reciprocation for people that have muled for me. honestly, i could never offer 1 mule job and could still get the stuff from the beer group...but when i see the trouble people go through to mule beer for our group, like stand in line in mid teen temperatures for bb PT5 and drive 5 hours for the beat release, i want to offer up stuff when it is availalbe to me.

 

Oh, I don't feel guilty about anything I say, or else I wouldn't say it. I was just the post before so I wanted to be clear with my point. I had all I wanted of each release, so I'm definitely not butthurt, sour,or upset about getting any. I guess in my screwed up world everyone is a true BA and not entitled beer nerds, very unrealistic I know.

Anyway, I'm told Whole Foods in Orlando will have some today. I hope anyone who still wants some can find it over the Holiday's. Cheers.

 

You really have a hard time understanding English, so there isn't really a point in you typing more failed essays. I don't have a case of 110K, Moo hoo, or WnB. At one point I did have Zhukov, which again is offered at no limit. I did not get 12 people to go get me extra bottles so I could be the cool guy and brag over the internet. I obviously think getting mules to empty a shop's stock of a 1 limit beer goes against the spirit of what i think being a BA is. You don't, which is fine. Agree to disagree and move on. There is no comparison here, quit trying to make something out of nothing.

One last tip, and probably most important, don't believe everything you read on the internet and don't take what you read personally. I guess that's two tips, but hell I'm stupid too.

 

I think we need to set up an octagon in the unused, dirt back-lot at CCB to hash out all of these issues. Clearly, people have a lot of animosity.

Rules? 2 men enter, 1 man leaves. There is no better way to settle an argument over beer than the death of the person you disagree with.

Weapons? CCB skateboards, barstools, tap handles, Ghost of Hunahpu, and 750 ml bottles.

My first challenge will be to all of the dirty, rotten, malicious, ignorami that walk into the bar and pronounce it, "Hotter than Hells," and ask how much chili pepper is in it. Damn those bastards.

There have been other releases where the label says artificial flavors, and our whole foods beer guy says they can't/won't order it.

 

I found it to be very good, the first sip was incrededible. I started drinking the other beers that were on the table so I think that the flavor of the southern slice was muted. I got plenty of bottles so I will reserve my review once i drink the bottled version. it's definitely worth picking up

The irony of it is the that natural and artificial flavors are the same exact substances, the only difference being the base ingredients from which they are derived.

 

Hey, you ain't tell me anything new. Whole Foods gets a little odd with their logic on some things. I remember last our store wouldn't get Founders Frangelic Mtn Brown because the label clearly said artificial flavors.

 

Cinnamon Roll'd WnB was okay. White Chocolate Moohoo was lame. WC Moohoo tasted almost exactly like the base beer, and Cinnamon Roll'd WnB was just enough variation to make it interesting. The hype is generated solely off of the small bottle count and craft beer drinkers apparent obsession with beers that are named after desserts. I mean, these are decent enough variants, but selling waxed bottles for twice as much money as the base beer? Terrapin needs to step it up. Or maybe they don't, because people will buy up this shit anyway.

 

Found some at Royal Liquor off Old Milton in Alpharetta, GA. Store had just gotten their shipment. Were 3 left on the shelf and they may have more in the back.

 

word of advice: go for the Ghost of Hunahpu. seriously.

 

Tell me you get the same results in flavor and aroma with say hazelnut extract natural vs artificial.

 

I agree, fake hazelnut is disgusting.

The thing he was commenting on, was that natural flavors come from the same source, as MOST artificial flavors. However, the difference is the "source" of said flavors, and the vehicle at which it's delivered to you or the product.

Fake vanilla could have vanilla in it.. It's most likely beaver asshole, which is... natural in nature, but the point is.. it's not naturally taken from the vanilla beans.

 

Had this last night and lucked into a bottle. FYI It will be on tap at Hopjacks Filling any day. I found it to be absolutely delicious and worthy of the hype. I horded all they had to myself - the last single bottle - and left none for anybody else. BWAAAAHAAAAHAAAAA

 

This whale has officially been beached.. Had it again.. Hyped, but good. Not worth the truck chasin' that goes on. I'd rather drink over twice as much regular WnB for an extra dolla more.

Love me some Terrapin, and both were good, but damn.. I just hope they improve on the series, and get better with it.

 

Had the cin wnb yesterday and I thought it lived up to the hype. The moo hoo,on the other hand, was boo hoo.
