I try to drink beer that I haven't had for the first time from a glass. If I have had it a lot I will sometimes drink from a bottle if I'm in a social setting. If I'm at someones house for a party, and they have a beer I haven't had, I will usually drink it from the bottle or can so I don't have to bother the host or a glass and be that guy. Recently I have liked trying new beers from the glass then trying them in the can(assuming they come in it) to see the difference. Its makes beer that I have already had fun a lot and like, even a little more fun drinking.

But hey man guess what the beauty of beer drinking is, drink it how you want! If you don't want to pour it in a glass then don't. You're the one drinking it, drink it how you feel!

    Cheers!

Like you I like the way the beer feels in my hand, so I have drinking partners or wife pour the beer directly into my cupped hands and drink it from there. This way i don't have to worry about cleaning the red cups.

I had my second Big Wood Bad Axe IIPA last night, and after discussion I just had to try it from the can. Funny, but I really didn't enjoy it, whereas the first time around, it was awesome out of a pint glass. Loved that first one. I can't really bring myself to believe the can made *all* the difference though - some, likely, yes - but not all. I think I need to drink a beer a few times to really develop an understanding of its character.

If I attend a party or social event and bring a 4-6 pack of one of my regular go-to beers, I have no problem drinking out of the bottle. When I'm at my house and have a few friends over or watching a game I'll take the time to pour my beer into a glass. I enjoy seeing how each beer pours (color, smell, etc..), and think to myself man this is going to be delicious.

Unless a glass isn't available, I will ALWAYS use a glass. Even with Heady! :grimacing: blasphemy!

While at a friends parents house in Germany I went to pour a Hacker-Pschorr into a Paulaner glass...and It was though I ran over the family dog! They wouldn't allow me to have it unless it was in its proper glass. His father rummaged through the kitchen finally surfacing with a proper Hacker-Pschorr glass. Needless to say, after seeing that display of "glass devotion" i've been a big component of using a glass ever since. Yes this is extreme but its a fun memory  (and thanks to beer, ill take all the memories I can remember)
    Prost!

Yes, whenever possible I use a glass but somtimes the glass is shaped like a bottle which feels good in my hand especially when I'm at the beach pouring my Hopslam (no HT around here) into a can because they don't allow glass at the beach

For all the flack I've caught for it, lesson learned. No more comments about what does or does not feel good in my hand.

When I'm at home I always do. But if I brought beers to a party, I wouldn't expect them to have a proper glass.
