Pretty sure I covered how some hunterdon beers get allocated. If your store doesn't sell any of the regular stuff they're not gonna get the special stuff. That's how it works. They reward good customers. And as far as why so much was in north jersey. Why don't you go ahead and check population statistics.

Parade was 100% cancelled like a month ago. Anyone who ever went to the parade or a bar on Hoboken St. Patty's is pretty dumb anyway. The real fun is all the drunk chicks at house parties who are more apt to hook up because they met you at a party through a mutual friend and that is somehow better than hooking up with a random stranger at a bar. Early odds were it wasn't going to be as crazy but as a liquor store employee we had a flood of keg orders today equaling what we had reserved over the entire last week. The lack of even the perceived distraction of a parade is going to make the house parties rage even harder. And the fact that bars are only being allowed to open at the normal 11am rather than the usual parade special of between 6-9am, people who pregamed on the train will be stuck roaming the streets for 2 hours. The lack of accurate information in the minds of drunken fools will make this whole thing boil over quite nicely. And to the guy who has been asking for breakfast stout for a year don't blame hunterdon. Breakfast stout is a seasonal only available september to december and during that time it's readily available so if your store didn't get it its because they didn't ask for it.

What does this have to do with Nugget Nectar, Ballast Point, or Better Half? Although, I do not think I would mind watching the random drunks roaming the streets of Hoboken...

What time did you go by? I went by around 530 and the guy I talked to didn't no anything about it. This was after a guy on the phone said the computer counted 8 in stock. Hoping Jay might hold onto one for me.

First off, in sales, you have to have consistency, if you're going to allocate by sales, just do it, but that is not how it works. Hunterdon does their own model of sales + relationship + proximity to their warehouse = better allocations. There are accounts in Ocean and Monmouth that I know for a fact sell more than some of the North Jersey stores, but get passed over all the time. How about the checking of facts before assuming something. Take your own advise there slappy. Monmouth County is #4 most populated Ocean is #6. Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Union, Passaic, Gloucester, Camden are all below Ocean and Monmouth by population, and somehow 1 store in both Monmouth and Ocean received CBS, and more than 2 in all above mentioned counties with lower population than Monmouth and Ocean received CBS. Now ironically by your argument no one in Atlantic County should have gotten it either, right? Nope, incorrect.

You live up north so no kidding you are bias to Hunterdon. If you lived in south jersey you'd be as frustrated as anyone else . It's not news or a mystery how/why hunterdon "takes" care of their own.
My stores sell plenty of founders and sees KBS each year.
If you look at the distro map for Those Founders big bottled series it's clumped all up by you.

CBS distribution went purely on Founders sales. Just because a store sells a lot of beer doesn't mean they sold a lot of founders. The one guy mentioned his store didn't even sell regular breakfast stout which for 4 months was readily available which means his store never ordered it. And pure population means nothing. Population density speaks a lot more volume. Also income level of the population since people with more money generally buy more goods. I saw stores that had been huge Hunterdon customers since the day Hunterdon opened get shut out because they just don't move the volume that was required.

I wish we could just order a bottle online and get it shipped directly to our houses (pending state laws). Guaranteed sales as opposed to sitting on shelves.
