Alright, they've been out there for a few months and I haven't seen anyone else mention this, so maybe I'm just crazy, but do these beers taste significantly different from the draft counterparts to anyone else?

I bought another 4 pack of HDnR last night and while still very tasty, it does not have the same hop profile as the draft version or the bottles they released earlier this year. I get the same thing from the Jam Session cans I've had. Still a good beer, but not nearly as much hop flavor as the draft version.

I'm not trying to be negative, because I absolutely adore NoDa's beers, I'm just wondering if it's something others have noticed.

The cans come from the same source as the draft. I guess you just prefer draft.

I realize that. I'm wondering if there is a packaging issue with the cans because as I said, I did not notice the same issue with the HDnR bottles from earlier this year.

Don't know the answer. I haven't had bottles and have had lots more cans than draft. The canning operation that they utilize seems first class. I'm gonna get a 4-pack today and give it a test!

In my opinion, the 16oz HDnR cans are the best thing going in Charlotte right now. Draft is always awesome, but these cans are friggin' great!!! I haven't noticed any lack or hoppiness to these. I've probably bought 6+ 4-packs of them since release. That all said, I prefer Jam Session via draft.

If anything I enjoyed the cans more after having it in draft and bottle form. Best IPA to come out of NC so far IMO.

I just kicked a 1/6th of HdR last month and have had cans since. No difference that I noticed. In fact whenever I crack open a can I usually have the same reaction as Charlottemoeron in that it is the best damn thing going right now.

Agreed. HD&R is starting to become a sought after beer up and down the east coast. It's an awesome beer. Can't wait til NoDa starts cranking out Coco Loco in cans as well.

@apaisncsu sent me 12 as a favor. It's honestly the best regualr IPA out there because im more of a dry hopped fan. Everyone in my area that I've shared it with has loved it

Has tremendous balance and body, drinks more like a DIPA . I can't imagine anyone not liking his brew. I had Double Hop Drop last weekend, and as good as It was Regular hop drop is better IMO.

If I recall during my convos with local store owners, they go and pick up their brews directly from noDa. They don't distribute cans. I'm speaking for the triad area. Can't speak for hickory.

NoDa doesn't deliver yet, but Greensboro is only an hour and a half drive, buy a case. They just raised their prices this week too.

Where did you buy your can Sam? If it wasnt from the brewery you are at the mercy of the retailer. Im guessing you bought older cans. Fresh there is nothing better in my opinion.

x2. I was in EarthFare this week and they had HdR cans that still had the black plastic ring. They switched to the yellow plastic ring I believe about 3 weeks ago meaning that beer had been sitting on the shelf at least a month, possible much more. I am sure this is the case at a lot of retailers that are buying this in bulk.

That said, I really wish they would start dating their cans.
