Got drunk with some friends on Friday night and went to bed at 5:30am. Alarm woke me up at 8, heard this was a shitshow, so I went back to bed until 1:30. I felt glorious awakening from my morning hibernation.

Waited until later in the night and showed up around 9pm. Got to drink Raspberry Eisbock, BBBW, and a Big Black Banana all while watching the Wings beat some ass. I filled out order# 505 and took home my $44 6-pack around 10pm.

I didn't get any meads, nor any BBBW bottles, but considering I only invested an hour of my day and got to try great beers on draft, I'd say I did Winter Solstice pretty damn well.

What are the odds of BBBW or anything else from solstice being on tap the next couple days?

How are the bottles of BB4D drinking? Last year they released a small batch of BB4D that was not so great. I ended up trading a Leon and Cognac Church for it :slight_frown:

An exact count would be damned near impossible to know now. There is no inventory system in place at Kuhnhenn to track sales with inventory. If they actually kept the order slips I guess it'd be possible to add up all the bottles until about #68 when it ran out. Also, bottles were used at the bar for pours and who knows how many...several up to a case is a safe bet. The best estimate is 100-120, likely on the upper end of that range.

Anybody know if the Barley Wine (non-BA) that was being served in the tent was their "American Barley Wine" or was it the "Big 'n Bold Barley Wine" ?

I'm pretty sure it was American.

I'm assuming most had the same opinion that the Big Black Banana was mehh?

    Cool, thanks guys.

Maybe it was just me then, but I thought the Big Black Banana was awesome. I love banana, though, so maybe I am biased. Tasted like a chocolate covered banana. (Was it just Michigan Mud brewed w/ banana?)

I wish they would bottle the First Gold Rush barleywine. Without question the best non-BA barleywine I've ever had.

It was just really a lackluster mouthfeel for me on top of me not having a huge sweet tooth I guess - I dont like thin combined with as sweet as it was.

Wasn't there at Winter Solstice 2012. Must've been a St. Paddy's or Summer Solstice release (or otherwise).

I was at St. Pats and 2012 Winter Solstice and didn't see it. Then again Most of both those days are hazy at best.

Gold Rush was bottled & released the same time as Blueberry Eisbock this year. Same with Michigan Mud.

February 2013 is when Blueberry Eisbock, Raspberry Eisbock, Michigan Mud and Gold Rush was released. Bummed I never got to try the Gold Rush.
